Overview:
We are seeking an experienced personal injury attorney to join our firm. In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through settlement negotiation. You will diligently represent our clients' interests and ensure they receive fair compensation for their injuries.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically litigate personal injury cases by working up case files

Responsibilities of a Managing Attorney include
- Manage assigned portfolio of accounts to achieve client goals and protect client and Z&A interests effectively
- Implement, manage, and improve litigation processes within the framework identified by Z&A executive management staff to achieve all goals and responsibilities most efficiently
- Interview, supervise, train, and assign duties and responsibilities to the litigation staff
- Liaise with the Litigation Operations and Audit departments to ensure compliance with client expectations, firm policies, and local/state regulations, and remediate and resolve any identified compliance issues
- Train associate attorneys and staff on operating procedures and processes
- Enforce production and performance expectations for all staff and attorneys at the site
- Review and execute legal pleadings, motions, etc.
- Send and respond to correspondence from opposing counsel, pro se parties, corporate office, litigation members, and courts
- Zealously advocate for client interests in motion practice hearings and trials, in person and telephonically when permitted
- Draft specific pleadings, motions, responses, discovery, etc.
- Ensure the appropriate account and case documentation, including document retention via RMS notes, status case files, and electronic storage, in compliance with State Bar requirements, Court Rules, and Z&A standards. Comply with all applicable standard operating procedures as directed by executive management
- Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

- Minimum three years of civil litigation experience in a high-volume environment

Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our growing New York Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial disputes, particularly matters involving real estate and construction-related litigation.
Our litigation team represents clients across a broad range of industries, including real estate, financial services, insurance, and corporate sectors, handling sophisticated commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. Practice Group Overview
The New York Litigation practice group is team-oriented and client-focused, offering attorneys the opportunity for meaningful client interaction and professional growth. Our attorneys regularly handle disputes involving cooperative and condominium boards, design professionals, developers, contractors, and other commercial entities.
Associates work closely with shareholders and senior attorneys while gaining hands-on experience managing cases from inception through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, with a focus on real estate and construction disputes
- Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Conduct and defend depositions and manage the discovery process
- Handle court appearances, conferences, hearings, and motion practice
- Develop litigation strategies and collaborate with clients on case objectives
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation or court proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel
- Assist with trial preparation and case strategy
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York Bar (required)
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a strong plus
- 4–10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation
- Experience handling complex commercial, real estate, or construction disputes
- Proven experience with motions, depositions, and discovery practice

Compensation & Benefits

$130,000 – $190,000 annually, depending on experience and portable business.

The Senior Associate will be responsible for managing a caseload involving complex legal issues surrounding emerging technology, AI, data privacy and misuse, as well as other complex consumer class actions. Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive, and well-structured briefs, motions, and memoranda that require minimal editing, as well as the ability to independently take depositions, present oral arguments, and argue motions.
