Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing content center across two network affiliates, including broadcast, digital, and social teams Set and execute a clear editorial strategy aligned with Sinclair’s strategies for accountability, enterprise reporting, and community impact Oversee a content center producing more than 60 hours of linear TV weekly, ensuring consistency, quality, and brand alignment Maintain editorial oversight of social, digital, and linear newscasts, providing clear feedback and enforcing strong storytelling standards Drive multiplatform content growth, innovation, and audience engagement across broadcast, digital, and social platforms Champion enterprise, investigative, and solutions-oriented journalism that differentiates Sinclair stations in the market Foster a newsroom culture built on accountability, collaboration, urgency, and high expectations Use audience data, analytics, and community insights to inform editorial decisions and content strategy Collaborate closely with Senior VP of News and Sinclair corporate partners to align content center priorities and performance Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top content center talent; manage contracts and succession planning Manage content center budgets, including operational and capital expenditures, with a strong focus on efficiency and results Set clear goals, measure performance, and hold teams accountable to outcomes What We’re Looking For A proven leader with experience managing large teams in a competitive station/multi-platform environment Demonstrated success overseeing content creation across all platforms Strong editorial judgment and a consistent commitment to journalistic integrity, accuracy, and fairness Hands-on multi-platform experience leading broadcast, digital, and social news operations A leader who drives performance through clarity, accountability, and decisive action Working knowledge of journalistic ethics, libel, and privacy laws Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field required Minimum of five years of newsroom leadership experience with a track record of success Why This Role Matters At Sinclair, local journalism matters.
