Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of 3DEOs proprietary slicing engine and the end-to-end software platform that powers our metal 3D printing process. This role focuses on geometry processing, toolpath generation, and digital workflows used across our vertically integrated production system. Ideal candidates have experience building slicers, simulation tools, or manufacturing automation software and enjoy working at the intersection of software and hardware in a fast-moving RD environment.



Essential Functions:
? Develop and maintain core slicing algorithms including path planning, infill generation, and motion logic
? Implement and optimize geometry processing tools (mesh repair, offsetting, tessellation, Boolean ops)
? Contribute to the architecture of the internal production platform, including job tracking and printer interfacing
? Integrate slicing logic with upstream and downstream systems including UI, hardware control, and analytics
? Collaborate closely with mechanical, controls, and process engineers to translate physical constraints into software rules
? Write clean, well-documented, and testable code to support scalable manufacturing
? Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions


Required Qualifications:
? Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, or Python

As a Flight Guidance Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of the guidance system, and your work will enable the integration of uncrewed aircraft into the National Airspace System.

Responsibilities

  • Define guidance system capabilities and requirements in collaboration with operations and pilot teams

  • Design guidance system features to integrate with flight control systems and pilot displays

  • Implement flight guidance algorithms in simulation and flight software

  • Reduce and analyze simulation, lab, and flight test data

  • Evaluate guidance system performance and behavior via simulation, hardware-in-loop, and flight test cases

Basic Success Criteria

  • BS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree

  • 5+ years professional experience developing guidance or motion planning algorithms for real-time vehicle systems

  • Professional C/C++ and Python software development experience

  • Excellent ability to communicate system behavior to end users

Preferred Criteria

  • MS or PhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree
