Work description:

- Hybrid GI hospitalist – Mainly inpatient coverage with some outpatient duties. Similar schedule as the GI hospitalist with an extra day of ambulatory endoscopy in the ASC.
- Outpatient/Ambulatory model – 3-4 days of outpatient endoscopy performed in the hospital endoscopy suite and ASC plus 1-2 days of clinic with a few weeks of inpatient call coverage.
- For applicants with special interests, resources are available to build subspecialty service lines.
- Strong academic affiliation with the University of Maryland Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- Adjunct Assistant Professor academic appointment.

- 24/7 general surgery, colorectal surgery and IR services
- Inpatient list averages 15-20 patients/day and Inpatient endoscopies average 5-7/ day

- Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty
- 3-5 years of clinical experience
- Board certified or board eligible gastroenterologists (preferred)

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. - Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight invoices, and import documentation
- Track freight costs, duties, and tariffs when applicable
- Provide shipment updates and logistics reporting to internal teams and stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve shipment visibility and logistics processes
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a similar air import role
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical/healthcare shipments strongly preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international logistics processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

You will be working as a key component within the prosperous Import division of a Top 10 Freight Forwarder in California.
This is an ideal position for experienced and skilled Coordinators, specialists and agents who wish to advance their careers in international Freight Forwarding

What you will need
- A minimum of 1 year experience as an Air or Ocean Import specialist for a freight forwarder
- Proficient in Freight Forwarding softwares (CargoWise, SAP, AS400)
- understanding of relevant state, federal, and international laws, and regulations as they relate to the fundemental services provided (i.e., customs, security, other import government agencies)
- a string work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your role.
