We are seeking a skilled Asphalt/ Paving Foreman to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt/paving construction with leadership experience in managing crews and projects effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and supervise paving crews, including scheduling, and assigning tasks.
· Coordinate with superintendents and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
· Calculates and manages material orders.
· Monitor work progress, quality, and safety standards on job sites.
· Operate and maintain paving equipment, i.e. skid steer and attachments, various types and size of rollers, mill/cold planner experience is a plus.
· Maintain inventory of material and equipment needed for projects.
· Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of work vehicles and equipment.
· Train and Mentor team members.
Qualifications:
· Multiple years of experience in asphalt paving and construction
· Strong knowledge of paving equipment and techniques
· Schedules and maintains open communication with inspectors when applicable.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprint plans and project specifications.

The Asphalt Paving Superintendent oversees and supervises personnel and activities associated with the paving division of the company to meet production schedules and quality specifications, utilizing complex problem-solving skills along with strong client and colleague interaction skills. The role is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented and can work with a firm yet considerate disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of multiple paving, concrete and milling crews and foremen.
- Coordinate daily setup of trucks, plants, equipment, and materials for job sites.
- Review and edit employee timecards daily to ensure accurate tracking.
- Monitor job site safety, work quality, and production goals.
- Participate in weekly scheduling and operations meetings, reporting to Operations Manager.
- Ensure all crews are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with lowboy and dump truck drivers for delivery of equipment and material to job sites.
- Assist in job scheduling and resource planning with other Superintendents.
- Ensure crews arrive on time, load trucks efficiently, and depart promptly each morning.
- Communicate project requirements clearly to Foremen.
- Manage completion of punch lists and final inspections.
- Report broken or malfunctioning equipment and tools to the Shop immediately.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for each crew based on job requirements.
- Verify that time and material usage aligns with job orders.
- Provide Foremen with contact information for plants, truck drivers, and material suppliers as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned.

General Description
The Estimator is responsible for the preparation and review of assigned roadway construction and/or asphalt paving estimate packages; implementing department standards and procedures while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of estimate packages. Company primarily performs construction activities involving asphalt paving/resurfacing, bridge construction, earthwork/grading, roadway construction/rehabs, and highway work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Read/review plans, proposals, specifications, RFP’s, and any other pertinent project related documents necessary to develop a competent and competitive estimate/bid package.
- Solicit estimates from various subcontractors and vendors to prepare estimate packages.
- Prepare reports and analysis pertinent to estimating as requested by management
- Review established labor, equipment, and material costs, for preparation of estimate/bid packages.
- Prepare accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
- Produce detailed, final contract estimates, for primarily Asphalt Paving and Roadway/Site Development Projects.
- Assess project exposures/construction risks and appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
- Identify potential construction issues through the estimating process.
- Identify value-engineering alternatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Working experience on HCSS software or other equivalent estimating software.
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively; as well as written correspondence.
- Working knowledge of asphalt laydown and/or roadway construction operations.
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and written specifications.
- Attention to detail, including interpretation and preparation of spreadsheets and other data.
Education and/or Experience
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator bidding asphalt paving and/or roadway construction projects.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, is required.
- Experience working for a General Contractor as an estimator bidding on Department of Transportation or other roadway projects between $1M and $25M required.

- Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet; however when visiting construction sites and/or asphalt manufacturing facilities, various levels of noise, dust and other environmental exposures may occur; any exposure is within the established Permissible Exposure Limits, however Personal protective Equipment such as hardhats, hearing protection and safety glasses, may be required.

Job Description
Heavy Highway Construction company in South Texas is hiring an experienced Roadway Superintendent. The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned craft areas in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This requires a thorough working knowledge and background of assigned work, the ability to cope with complex situations through deliberate analysis and planning, and see actions in terms of longer-term goals. As a significantly experienced superintendent, it requires directing other line supervision as necessary in their roles to meet or exceed all project objectives. This position requires the ability to coordinate and direct construction craftsmen in numerous crafts within the assigned area of responsibility. This position is typically responsible for numerous crafts, multiple areas, and/or large numbers of craftsmen; and often including direct oversight or coordination of other contractors/subcontractors.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Plan and direct the work activities of all involved crafts for assigned construction crafts in alignment with available engineering deliverables, tools, construction equipment, and materials
* Approve or authorize the coordination of craft personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules; typically responsible to establish construction crew organization and composition including craftsmen qualification level, foremen and general foremen
* Maintain and enforce the project's quality requirements and standards
* Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities
* Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the principal manager responsible for the overall management and operation of the mechanical systems in support of of BOS
- Advises mechanical technicians in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical system malfunctions.
- Develops, implements and regularly reviews all mechanical systems and components preventative maintenance plans to ensure they are compliant with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
- Performs overall capacity management of mechanical systems to ensure capability is in balance with known and/or future demand requirements.
- Maintains building calculations to manage supply available with required loads.
- Ensures building modifications comply with all code requirements and original design intent.

Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) in one of the 50 U.S. states, U.S. Territories or Possessions.
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural), or another related field. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience managing and operating facilities and systems of similar size, scope and complexity
- Strong technical knowledge of all facilities maintenance and operations, including complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, structural systems, vertical transportation and data center operations.
- Highly developed leadership, management, supervisory, interpersonal, analytical and communication (oral and written) skills.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of any given project. Additionally, the Project Manager ensures budget and deadlines are met and consistent with project standards.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create a Schedule of Values for our pay applications and submit to the General Contractor.
- Analyze the construction schedule and create a schedule for submittals, material ordering and estimated field labor durations & project completion.
- Create submittals for doors, frames and hardware from architectural plans and specification.
- Manage and respond to electronic contractual changes (RFI’s, PC’s, Etc.). Quote changes that affect our material and/or labor cost. Distribute Change Order Due letters to the contractor.
- Order materials (Purchase orders) from approved submittals for timely delivery according to the construction schedule or as agreed upon with the contractor for billed and stored material.
- Support the Performance Door project field supervisor for the timely delivery of materials according to the construction schedule. Send field use drawings periodically reflecting updated schedules incorporating project revisions.
- Provide monthly pay application to the accounting department including back up documentation for stored or FSC materials.
- Actively pursue contractual “Change Orders” from “price and proceed” CO Due letters. Take an active role in collecting money.
- Approve weekly vendor invoices for payment. Check vendor costs against our purchase order.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as needed.
