Direct Counsel is partnering with a premier California law firm to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a nationally recognized Trial & Litigation Group handling complex, precedent-setting matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage cases from pleadings through trial and appeal
  • Draft and revise pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Oversee document production and eDiscovery workflows
  • Support deposition, hearing, and trial preparation (exhibits, witness outlines)
  • Cite-check briefs (legal + factual citations)
  • Coordinate with Litigation Support on database management (iPro or similar)
  • Maintain discovery logs and case indices

This role requires strong ownership, precision, and the ability to operate independently in a high-performing litigation team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of recent California litigation experience
  • Ability to bill under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 6450
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Data Tables)
  • Strong eDiscovery and document production expertise
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Westlaw (preferred) or Lexis experience
  • Deep knowledge of state and federal court procedures
  • High ethical standards and strict confidentiality

This is an on-site role with a remote component. Extended hours and travel may be required depending on trial demands.
