The APRN / PA will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The APRN will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
APRN:
Master?s Degree in nursing, must be Acute Care Certified- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License.
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
or
PA:
- Physician?s Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Arkansas Medical Board, or be certification eligible, and be certified as a Physician?s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Master's Degree in Health Sciences preferred

Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive health assessments, determines diagnoses, implements treatment plans, prescribes medical treatments, and manages health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician.
- Coordinates specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults for patients to assure timely and appropriate treatment.
- Collaborates with a variety of health care professionals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems, serving as a resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
- Manages post-procedure immunosuppression and labs of the patient in coordination with the physician and pharmacist.
- Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others. Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
- Edits and documents results in various critical care systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
