Job Description:

• Support the Electrical Engineering team in the design and qualification of compact LED lighting systems incorporating switch mode power supplies and associated control and communication circuits.
• Execute hardware and firmware testing and report results for review.
• Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans.
• Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics. Troubleshoot field returns, identifying root cause of problem and potential design improvements.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate's degree or technical school certification in a related field (e.g., electronics, electrical technology) is preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience working with electronics in a lab, production test or quality control environment.
• Familiar with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermocouples etc.
• Competent with soldering and reworking PCB prototypes.
• Hands on experience with electronics through professional experience, personal projects, or college assignments.
• Able to communicate in an effective and professional manner (written and oral)
• High level of maturity and organization with a health obsession to learn
• Experience with software and microcontrollers is a plus

Responsibilities:

· Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following current NEC and local code

· Install control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels for machine

· Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints

· Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments

· Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment

· Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.

· Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials

· Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures

· Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition

· Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor

· Keep work areas clean and organized, including disposing of debris and properly storing tools

· Assist in accurately documenting work orders, time sheets, and inspection reports

· Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

· Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves and steel-toed work boots

· Follow company procedures and meet role expectations

Qualifications:

Looking for a professional engineer with in-depth knowledge of carrier/transport and SIP access technologies. The position will Voice Access and Security Services Engineering team directly supporting Architecture and Engineering functions for Collaboration and Productivity products and solutions.

This resource working in this position will be responsible for development of:

Product Management Lifecycle Program schedules and tasks

Communication materials for senior leadership

Engineering documentation in relation to fast moving programs

Ability to partner with communicate to technical resources while concurrently delivering presentation materials and program management details to C-Level is critical to this roles success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide program guidance and develop program timelines from an engineering point of view in partnership with our program management office

Develop ROM/SOW quotes for projects for equipment placement and licensing

Assist in the development of project supporting documentation/information to include Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates and equipment placement requests.

Directly support business initiated projects.

Direct and communicate with leadership on status of programs and open issues.

Provide local software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of; Session Border Controller, Security Services, E911, SIP and Session Management, LAN/WAN, VoIP, Toll Free Engineering, with integrations to products such as Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys.

Complete SIT testing, document results, develop and write scripts, MOP and low level designs for implementation and configuration of Session Border Controller, Security Services, E911, and associated integrations.
