• Responsible for overseeing the overall cleanliness in all areas of the park
• Providing constant supervision, training, coaching, and motivation of Team Members

• Following up with crews to ensure that trash is properly transported to compactor areas and separated as necessary to adhere with park recycling rules; all areas are properly stocked and cleaned

Assists with the maintenance and installation of all the HVAC needs in the Parks. Performs services of diagnosing, trouble-shooting and installing air conditioning and heating systems, air supply and return plenums with duct board, and flex ducting. Responsibilities and requirements may vary by location.

• Installs, repairs, adjusts, maintains, retrofits, and troubleshoots refrigerant controls, compressors, heat pumps, split systems, ductless splits, packaged units, electric motors, motor controls, commercial furnaces and related controls, water pumps, exhaust fans, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, sizes of air compressors and air dryers, and related accessories and controls, chillers, (reciprocating, screw and centrifugal), cooling towers, automation control systems, and all types of glycol systems.
• Maintains accurate and up to date records and logs of all work performed.

• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in most aspects of HVAC function. Good verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand. Good judgment, decision making and problem solving skills.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.

License or Certification:

Valid driver’s license. Gas Fitter 1 license required in applicable states. CFC recovery certification required in applicable states. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of HVAC experience. Refrigeration experience preferred.

Equivalency:

Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

Joining our Ride Mechanic maintenance team at Worlds of Fun means you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient upkeep of our amusement park rides, including roller coasters and flat family rides. You’ll perform inspections, general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and annual rehabilitation of a variety of different amusement rides and attractions. Areas of responsibility include maintenance of gearboxes, chains, sprockets, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, wire rope, hoists, brakes, pumps, and large bearings.

• Properly lubricates all park rides.
• From blueprints, drawings, models or verbal instructions, general mechanical work is performed using a variety of hand and power tools and standard measuring instruments.
• Makes standard shop computations relating to dimension of work. Selects materials necessary for the work.
• Through walking and climbing along all areas of the park's rides, inspects all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects through visual and auditory observations to ensure safe and proper operation. Also inspects the structures of all steel coasters. 
• Communicates concerns to supervisor and/or, using own judgment, makes necessary repairs. Logs and documents all safety checks and repairs.
• Provides guest service according to Company standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

A Communications Dispatcher is a vital role in managing park operations. All park departments utilize the communications center for coordination of daily activities, processing internal and external requests and the allocation of resources. The Communications Dispatcher must prioritize calls for service based upon training and urgency of a incident while remaining calm and focused. 

• Dispatch all routine and emergency calls for service for Security, Park Operations and Maintenance in an efficient and professional manner based upon training and park policy.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and weather software; making appropriate notifications when directed.

As a non-transport provider, the EMT-B’s primary tasks are to initiate emergency and non-emergency basic life support care to ill and injured guests and team members, assist ALS personnel, and respond to medical/trauma calls in an amusement park setting.  All EMT-Bs need to have a strong work ethic and must be able to operate within I.D.P.H. Region X’s EMT-B scope of practice.

• Provide emergency and non-emergency medical care to team members and guests in accordance with established I.D.P.H. Region X protocols.
• Triage patients when multiple calls or patients overwhelm available personnel; make appropriate determinations about dispositions and transports
• Use an electronic tablet for documenting reports
• Complete checks on bags, vehicles, and treatment areas before, during, and after each shift; restock supplies as necessary.
• Assist ALS crews on calls as directed
• Safely operate department vehicles
• Answer calls for emergency assistance via telephone and radio
• Perform drug and alcohol screens on team members in accordance with park policies
• Transport team members to off-site acute care facilities for occupational health services
• Maintain a clean work area; perform basic cleaning of First Aid facilities (mop floors, vacuum carpets, empty trash cans, wipe down counters and beds, First Aid van is vacuumed and cleaned; etc.)
• Complete safety ride audits and safety inspections at direction of supervisory staff
