Success Profile:
The Product Development Associate works closely with the design team to develop seasonal collections through fabric/trim and sample management. They will work closely with mills to manage and track fabric delivery to allocated factories. They will work closely with factories to manage and track completed samples for their correct and timely arrival for market. Key Accountabilities:

The Role
We’re hiring a Product Development Manager to own our product development pipeline across a diverse and growing portfolio of clients in music, entertainment, and apparel. You’ll lead the full product lifecycle, from concept and sampling through production and delivery, while managing relationships with factories, vendors, and internal teams.
You’ll own the production workflow end to end and make sure every product ships on time and on spec. A big part of this role is building a production operation that can move at the speed of culture. What You’ll Do
Product Development & Lifecycle
- Own the end-to-end product development pipeline: concept, design coordination, tech packs, sampling, approvals, production, and delivery across all client accounts.

- Maintain and refine product development calendars, aligning internal milestones with client launch dates, tour schedules, and seasonal drops.

What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years in product development, production management, or merchandise operations, ideally in apparel, music merch, or branded consumer goods.
- Proven track record managing vendor relationships across domestic and international factories.
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports (production coordinators, assistants, or similar).
- Familiarity with the full apparel production cycle: tech packs, grading, sampling, bulk production, and quality assurance.
- Strong working knowledge of project management platforms ( preferred; Asana, Trello, or similar acceptable).
- Comfort with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for workflow optimization.
- Direct, clear communicator who’s comfortable pushing back on unrealistic timelines while maintaining strong relationships.

- Partner with Merchandising, PD/Design, and Sales to ensure correct execution of products in production and attain agreed-upon margin goals and delivery; set and articulate expectations. Ensures timely handoff of development into production.
- Follow and enforce production standards and cohesiveness of brand, where appropriate, across categories and vendors; attend all approval meetings and work closely with Design and/or PD to ensure on-time approvals; execute quality control initiatives, including QA analysis and solutions; adhere to and enforce production standards set by Centric Brands, its agents, and our clients.
- Trouble-shoots quality and technical issues with factories, mills, vendors, and team(s).
- Advises management on capacity planning and performance management by sourcing office, region, country, and vendor; provides accurate information for costing models; advise VP of Production on commitments to raw materials, where appropriate; allocates production across vendors and reserves production space based on vendors’ achievement of our production standards.
- Create an approved vendor matrix and production capacity portfolio.
Customers & Relationships
- Partner with cross-functional peers, customers, Sales, Merchandising and Operations, as well as vendors and factories to ensure on-time flow of goods relative to orders and anticipated demand criteria.
- Coordinate interoffice communication and follow-up with internal and external customers and contacts regarding production, including suppliers and vendors.
- Perform special projects as assigned.

Expected to perform all the activities on the Factory Service Center Shipping & Receiving Team. Receives and ships all customer tools into and out of the Factory Service Center. Receives all customer returns and accurately enters customer and product information into various business platforms including JDEdwards, 360 Insight, or any other required business platform. Moves material to different locations in the building(s), utilizing various forms of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, two-wheel dollies or transfer truck. Evaluates customer returns for warranty, credit or repair as determined by company and department policies. Receives and ships all customer tools into and out of the Factory Service Center.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Receive tools sent to the factory service center from customers requesting a tool repair evaluation.
* Receive tools sent to the stock returns area from distributors requesting a credit.
* Receive parts shipments from DCs and suppliers, and all misc. packages that are sent to the factory service center. Put away parts into correct inventory locations.
* Package/box, label, and ship tools to customers and distributors accurately.
* Process/record all transactions in JDE, 360 Insight.
* Help walk-in customers with tool receipts and basic questions about the repair process.
* Identify the specific tool model on incoming receipts using variety of factors like serial number, product catalog, and general knowledge of product line.
* Evaluate condition of packaging and tool returned for stock credit. Make determination on whether the distributor should be given credit using a variety of factors such as condition of tool, serial number, sales order number, purchase order number. Determine whether the tool can be salvaged through repair or if the tool should be scrapped.
* Must have a good working or developing understanding of the entire product line.
* Good understanding of the various packaging sizes and understand limits of when the standard package can be substituted for another size.
* Supports receiving team at service desk counter, and interacts with customers in taking orders and providing feedback on the lead time in person.
* Receives tools for repair and customer returns at the standard daily and weekly pace set by the service center supervisor and management, without needing significant help from others.
* Information about tool received for repair that is entered into 360 with errors is relatively low and occurs within an acceptable amount of tolerance for the amount of training and experience with the product line.
* Parts and tools are put away into the correct inventory locations and errors are relatively low..

SUMMARY:
Provide accurate, short‑term, capacity‑constrained production plans for Filling Lines and the Mix Plant. Ensure all plans are feasible, properly sequenced, and aligned with available resources, materials, and GMP requirements. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective cross‑functional communication to maintain uninterrupted material and production flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Create feasible production plans within the detailed planning period, considering available capacity, labor, materials, and product‑family sequencing set by the long‑term planner.
•Develop realistic Mix Plans that meet factory requirements and comply with batching, CIP, and •GMP constraints.
•Create and maintain all Work Orders in JDE for factory and mix planning; all changes must flow through the planner.
•Conduct daily reviews and weekly planning meetings with all relevant functions and distribute meeting minutes.
•Establish a 4‑week production plan with minimal changeovers and zero downtime.
•Establish a 2‑week Mix Plan that fully supports all products scheduled for the current and upcoming week.
•Track and update daily inventory, identifying risks and rescheduling needs based on carrier lead times.
•Maintain updates to planning tools, periodic alignments of efficiency with supply planner and that standard operating procedures have relevant and up to date procedures.
• Track and support buyers with material flow through work order adjustments and run outs are planned and communicated to operations.
•Manage bulk orders to ensure smooth arrival and unloading, minimizing detention caused by space or receiver availability.
•Update and highlight Work Orders daily in planning tools, ensuring schedule adherence, quantity accuracy, and documentation of all changes.
•Identify and integrate CIP cycles, production shutdowns, and preventive maintenance within the detailed plan.
•Monitor new products to ensure mix and production readiness for on-time launch.
•Identify potential issues within the planning horizon, assess their risks, and provide actionable solutions.
•Communicate daily/weekly updates to maintain alignment with cross‑functional partners.
•Highlight demand increases or decreases and communicate impacts on material requirements.
