The Assurance Experienced Senior will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day \"in-charge\" duties of planning, fieldwork, and \"wrap-up\" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems. An established boutique law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking a hardworking, dedicated, and experienced Legal Assistant to join their team in DC or SF. In this role, you will play a critical role in providing both substantive and administrative support to a dedicated and mission driven group of attorneys. The ideal candidate is both “book smart” and “street smart,” enthusiastic, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in organizing and managing detailed legal documents, case files, and court deadlines.
• Order supplies, liaise with third party vendors, and process expense reports.
• Document phone calls, emails, and correspondence for attorneys.
• Maintain attorneys’ calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel.
• Assist with paralegal duties, including conducting research, drafting legal documents, and preparing complex court filings.
• Ad hoc administrative support, including but not limited to enhancing the firm’s public-facing marketing outlets, team event planning, and special projects related to legal and non-legal tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong Staff-level or true Senior-level accounting experience
• Solid technical accounting foundation; public accounting experience not required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred, not required
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)

• Own and support the month-end close process
• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and reporting
• Provide oversight and guidance to junior AR/AP resources
• Partner closely with Accounting Managers and the VP of Finance
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
• Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and controls
• Serve as one of the most hands-on and visible members of the accounting team

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, qualifications/certifications, experience level, and geographic location.
• The expected range for this role is $75K–$85K, annualized base compensation, depending on level (Staff vs. Senior), with additional compensation components. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
