Job Summary

Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, will provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. Position Summary

The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.


Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • ASN or BSN from accredited college or university
  • Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Maintains a liaison with patients, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needs
  • Expert knowledge in field of practice
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
  • Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: nursing care, supervisory responsibilities,, infection control, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training

  • Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department
  • Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff

Job Summary and Qualifications

Reporting to different Laboratory Section Heads, this position is responsible for performing waived and moderate complexity tests, except for those moderate complexity tests requiring microscopy, or in the specialty of immunohematology.   • Valid California license as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Completion of State of California education and training requirements for licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Possession of a Valid California license as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • At least 1 year experience in laboratory testing is preferred.
  • Must be familiar with laboratory operations, terminology, clerical duties, and ability to work with computers as applicable to job performance. Ability to work as a team player and yet work independently.

  • Weekly Pay: $903.01 - $1,595.29
  • Annual Pay: $46,956.00 - $82,940.00
  • Additional compensation: Tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, safety bonuses, and more
  • Mileage rate: CPM, (depending on experience)

Requirements:
