We are currently seeking an experienced Blow Mold Machine Operator in Sherman, TX. As a Machine Operator, you will operate blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines, as well as the conveyor system. You will also troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. Being a team player will be essential since all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. Your goal is to ensure that procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize both efficiency and profits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)
- Operate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocator or shuttle machines)
- Perform audits, weights and quality checks
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures
- Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance, minor repair on blow mold & support equipment
- Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines
- Maintain activity logs
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator
- 2+ years’ blow mold machine operation preferred
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required
- Machine maintenance experience
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Ability to work overtime
- Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time

The Concrete Block Machine Operator operates a batching system that feeds aggregates, cement, and water mixed together creating the ideal mix design to form a strong dependable block. Once the material is mixed, it is the operators job to set machine parameters that will feed and form the concrete block with high levels of vibration. After a minimum of 16 hours the block is cured enough that it can be handled and formed to be shipped at a later date. The operator is responsible for operator the dry side of the machine that creates a safe practical pattern to be shipped. All of this while monitoring our quality standards set by the industry and Easton Block specifications. Understands the proper mixing sequence of Grey Block and applies that to the batching system to create the ideal mix design.
Operates the wetside of the Block Machine with the set parameters and monitors moisture, dimensions, color and imperfections of the block
Operates the dryside of the Block Machine with set cube patterns for ideal shipping
Dislodges block jams that cause machine downtime by hand or equipment designed to help the operator in tight spaces.
Removes materials or products from discharge end of conveyor that are deemed scrap and disposes of them in the proper waste container
Inspects materials or products for damage or for conformity to specifications
Uses hoist to assist in mold changes of different products
Stencils, tags, stamps, or writes identifying information on packaged products
Records production.
Keeps work area clean and orderly

Key Responsibilities
- Source, purchase, and negotiate pricing for machined and fabricated components
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier quotes and estimates
- Perform cost and labor analysis for machined/fabricated parts
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure supplier alignment
- Develop supplier relationships and monitor performance on quality, cost, delivery, and capability
- Support make/buy decisions, process improvements, and new product/component launches
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation within ERP systems
- Drive strategic initiatives including cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier consolidation
- Support sourcing for components involving bearings, motors, and other mechanical assemblies
- Work fully onsite in Lynchburg to collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (required)
