Detailed responsibilities:
* TESTING
- Perform regular and nuclear stress tests; scan and interpret holter monitor recordings
* TESTING
- Perform EKG, holter monitors, ambulatory blood pressure machines, treadmill testing and event monitors; scan and interpret holter monitor tapes
* MONITOR
- Interpret, document and mount EKG rhythm strips; monitor designated patients throughout the institution and notify appropriate personnel of changes and life threatening rhythms

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Rehabilitation teams at Samaritan evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions that have caused either a decline in self-care, physical mobility or functional independence. We are a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of therapists offering cutting-edge, evidence based practice and compassionate individualized treatment. We provide specialty care from pediatrics to geriatrics, from neurological to women's health, from lymphedema care to wheelchair fitting and more. Our acute services are centered out of Samaritan's Regional Medical system, a 160 bed, level 2 trauma center. Our hub status affords us a complex patient census that is among the state's top 5 in acuity. Our outpatient clinic features cutting edge equipment, a therapy pool with an underwater treadmill and separate adult and pediatric gyms. We also offer outpatient services at the Pastega Regional Cancer Center. All outpatient services are one-on-one and feature therapist-driven treatment times.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon Physical Therapy license required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
Must be able to travel to multiple points of care.

Summary:
Operates an electroencephalograph to measure impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in diagnosis of brain disorders. Writes reports indicating unusual wave characteristics shown on tracings.

- Performs electrocardiograms for in-patient and outpatient population including all ages
- Performs routine EEG's, Long term video EEG monitoring for evaluation of possible abnormal brain activity and for epilepsy and medicine modification
- Performs Transcranial Doppler studies for evaluation of cerebral blood flow
- Performs accurate Evoked Potential recording (Visual Evoked Responses, and Modified Baer)
- Performs Holter monitor hookup and the scanning of holter monitor tapes
- Performs 12 or 24-hour pneumogram hook-up with or without pulse oximetry for in-patient pediatrics and neonates
- Performs cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological and Tilt table stress
- Schedules all patients for any and all procedures performed in the department that require an appointment
- Maintains all diagnostic equipment by assuring that they are properly functioning and cleaned after every patient
- Notifies physician daily for exam interpretation and files reports
- Checks weekly for needed supplies
