Essential Job Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Apply comprehensive understanding of appropriate welding processes and production to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weld-able materials toward completion of assignments.
- Develop and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
- Maintain effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
- Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced welders. May serve as a group leader.
Minimum Qualifications

- Must have High School education or Trade School or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience. Prefer technical/professional certifications.
- Must be able to obtain medical clearance to wear a half-face respirator.
- Must have welding experience with stick welding (SMAW) process in all positions.
- Must have strong knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, weldments, technical manuals, engineering sketches, charts and/or work orders as well as written and verbal instruction for products to be fabricated and/or installed.
- Must be capable of using various measuring instruments.
- Must have knowledge of quality control steps and procedures.
- Must adhere to safety and quality procedures set forth by HII and host facilities.
- Must have experience working in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance and maintain clearance level throughout employment.
- Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain credentials throughout employment.
- Must be able to travel between 50% - 75% when not assigned to local tasking.
- Must be able to provide hand tools per trades designation.
Preferred Requirements
- Welding experience with gas metal arc welding (GMAW) process in all positions from 2G to 6G for Aluminum.
- Candidate with experience/knowledge in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and/or flux cored arc welding (FCAW) processes/positions preferred.
- Candidate with current or prior welding certificates applicable with MIL-STD-248 preferred.
- Combination pipe and structural welders with experience on marine vessels and associated systems preferred.
- Candidates with shipfitting experience are highly desired.
- Candidate with shipboard experience highly desired.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled or have graduated from and/or completed a vocational school or skilled trades certificate program are preferred.
- Current OSHA 10 Maritime Certificate a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.

- Assists with training of new Medical Assistants. May perform administrative responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Their responsibilities include planning radiation treatments ensuring patients receive the correct dose and directly participating in a patient's diagnosis and treatment.
Working in radiotherapy physics the physicist will be responsible for the precision and accuracy of treatments using advanced computer calculations to develop individual patient treatment plans.
The physicist will use images of the cancer to outline target volume.
In addition the physicist will ensure equipment is safe effective and working properly and will maintain it at high quality standards while performing QA and troubleshooting.
