A Typical Day
The Senior Project Engineer is simultaneously a design engineer and a technical project manager responsible for managing capital projects that execute the strategic plan of Hilmar driven through Hilmarβs Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Hilmar's Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to accomplish the goals of the steering team and board of directors. At the direction of the site engineering manager, the Senior Project Engineer is the supervising engineer on short and long-term asset management, reliability, and engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to successfully manage large scale projects end to end simultaneously leveraging internal and external resources to ensure projects deliver business outcomes, and our asset decisions and investments deliver value.
- Responsible for project scheduling, communication, costing, procurement, and budget creation, justification, and management for an average of 4-5 projects at one time and commissioning 10-15 projects annually with a total investment of up to $20 million.
- Mentor and develop less experienced engineers by providing guidance and technical support..
- Manage the implementation of capital projects to include concept development, establishment of project teams, process and design optimization, technical and economic evaluation of alternatives, scope definition and control, estimating, scheduling, development of funding requests, detailed engineering and design, regulatory compliance (environmental, safety, USDA, TXDHS, CDFA, and FDA) and project validation.
- Responsible for ensuring Process and Instrumentation Diagrams as well as Bill of Materials are accurate and up to date. Review and track field changes, lead the execution of design and construction implementation as well as any changes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with project teams, collaborating with various departments to include: R&D, manufacturing, sales, maintenance, engineering, safety, quality, environmental, and accounting, to ensure business outcomes are delivered.
- Interface with cheese and/or ingredients business units to address and resolve reliability, asset and engineering risks and issues through vendor engagement, design review against current state, performance guarantees, reliability-focused design recommendations, and asset integrity reviews.

- Manage budget spend and forecasting within +/- 10% accuracy on a monthly basis; continually manage project schedule, risks and quality to meet project business outcomes needed.
- Accountable to ensure Hilmarβs internal good engineering and project management practices are followed, including installation, operational, and performance qualification documentation, ensuring product and project quality by design.
- Understand and apply to designs: Engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and process controls), theories, concepts, practices, and techniques, applying statistical analysis as necessary. Engage in and develop mathematical models and risk matrices for engineering designs and asset investment decisions, including whole-life asset costing to support strategic investment decisions.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, representing the company during vendor engagements, managing the RFP process, including obtaining pricing and defining equipment needs. Review and analyze vendor agreements, including terms and conditions and master service agreements, and provide recommendations for revisions to leadership.
- Facilitate effective written communication and decision making and risk management meetings across the business to achieve project outcomes; lead, develop, and deliver presentations to leadership at all levels for project design and risk reviews as part of strategic asset management decisions and processes.

The Molding Process Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the support of all internal moulding activities that include product development, validation, qualification and implementation of processes, methods and equipment. The candidate can be trained to independently perform procedures such as trigger point and joint injections. Our fellowship trained physicians will train/mentor the selected applicant.

Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, collaborative, and flexible Advanced Practice Provider to join our fast-paced inpatient Trauma & Acute Care Surgery team. As an APP on the Trauma Surgery service, you will respond to trauma activations in the ER, assist in consultations, and contribute to the management for 20-50 high-acuity patients. This is not an operative position. Must be enthusiastic about a teaching environment for trainees of all levels.
Schedule: 4x10s on weekdays (M,T,Th,F). One week per month will be 3x10s on weekdays and 1x10 on Saturday. No on-call

This position is a combination of 75% outpatient, 25% inpatient consults (not primary management of inpatients). The APP will be responsible for one-month and one-year clinic follow-ups for all structural heart/valve procedures and management of inpatient consults for valve. The program is evolving to support our APPs to expand their scope to evaluation of new outpatients for valve disease, primarily aortic valve for TAVR, and increased independence with inpatient consults.

TKE is currently seeking an experienced Principal Architect to work in the IT Architecture organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Description
Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to work in our outpatient Otolaryngology (ENT) department. The APP will be assisting the ENT surgeon with patient care and having independent clinic to support access in clinic.
Schedule: 4x10s, M-F, day off TBD; no nights/weekends/holidays/on-call
The Physician Assistant reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization?s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Physician Assistant performs procedures in accordance with clinical privileges and/or the written collaborative agreement and within the specialty of the supervising physician. This role functions autonomously and collaborates with other health professionals to provide high quality, cost effective health care to patients, manage health care systems, and influence health care decision-making through expert clinical reasoning, research and theory-based practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct care to patients which demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced knowledge.
- Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic health problems within specialty area of practice.
- Collaborates and consults with physicians and other health care professionals in area of clinical expertise.
- Develops educational systems and strategies for teaching patients, families and staff on topics related to area of expertise.
- Mentors graduate students in aspects of advanced practice.
- Actively participates in and/or conducts research pertinent to area of expertise.
Specific Performance Standards:
- 1. Clinical
- Conducts comprehensive appraisals of patients? health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations in specialty area
- Provides primary prevention strategies and management of stable health problems
- Provides specialty care to assigned patients that may include both stable and unstable chronic health problems
- Establishes diagnoses for common short-term or chronic health conditions
- Prescribes medications, diet, supplies, prosthetic devices and other home health aides or medication according to clinical privileges
- Orders and Interprets appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, electrocardiograms and diagnostic procedures specified in clinical privileges
- Evaluates patients to determine their need for further health care
- Teaches and counsels patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, plan of care, anticipated outcomes, and the use of prescribed treatments and drugs
- Documents in the medical record all care provided and/or procedures performed
- Serves as consultant to other disciplines in areas of expertise
2. Leadership/Organization
- Mentors staff to ensure quality of health care practices.
- Assists with policy development and review in area of expertise
- Participates in unit/departmental/divisional and/or hospital committees/task forces.
- Consults with management in assessment, problem solving, decision making, and evaluating clinical/system issues.
3. Education
- Provides comprehensive teaching to patients and their families.
- Develops and participates in programs to meet continuing education needs of staff.
- Provides formal education to both internal and external groups pertinent to area of specialty.
- Willing to serve as mentor and/or preceptor to students
4. Quality and Outcomes
- Identifies primary patient needs, participates as applicable in the NMG quality program with focus on measures in patient satisfaction, quality performance, and access
- Perform and coordinate administrative and other clinical program duties as assigned or indicated.
- Develop and monitor indicators of quality care and patient satisfaction for a specific patient population.
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physician Assistant Programs
- Physician Assistant in Medicine, Licensed (IL)
- Physician Assistant certification by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required as specified by department
- Controlled substance license and DEA registration required as specified by the department
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a PA
Preferred:
- ENT experience
