Position Summary:

The Events Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the museum’s events department, working 

closely with the Event Coordinator to ensure the successful planning and execution of museum 

events and private events. This position involves a blend of administrative duties and hands-on 

event support, including bar operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Clerical Support

• Answer and make phone calls related to event coordination and vendor communication.

• Respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Maintain organized records, files, and event documentation.

• Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking notes.

Event Execution

• Support event setup and breakdown.

• Assist with on-the-floor coordination during events to ensure smooth operations.

• Liaise with vendors, staff, and guests as needed during events.

Bar Operations & Inventory

• Receive and maintain Responsible Vendor Training through Alabama Alcohol Beverage 

Control Board Responsible Vendor Program.

• Assist with bar setup and breakdown for museum events.

• Help manage beverage inventory, including tracking stock levels and placing supply orders.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas and storage spaces.

• Oversee register closures and provide supervision to bartending staff during and after 

events.

• Generate comprehensive end-of-event sales reports to support financial reconciliation.

General Support

• Work collaboratively with other departments to meet event needs.

• Provide excellent customer service to guests, artists, members, and staff.

• Flexibly adapt to changing priorities and event requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in event coordination, hospitality, or administrative support preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Basic knowledge of bar operations or willingness to learn.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email platforms.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based work combined with active event support on museum floors.

Job purpose

Participate as a member of the medical service delivery team in the health management and treatment of individuals seeking medical services with Tapestry. Duties and responsibilities

Perform routine initial/ annual comprehensive exams and other reproductive health related exams to all clients.

Provide for the assessment and management of sexually transmitted infections, and other reproductive health issues in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols.

Order laboratory and diagnostic tests as described in the protocol.

Perform lab tests and venipuncture as needed and within scope of practice.

Provide appropriate birth control methods and medication in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols.

Provide reproductive health counseling and distribute appropriate written information.

Make appropriate referrals to other health care providers for services beyond the scope of Tapestry.

Document all information in electronic medical record and on logs per protocol.

Assist in training and orientation of new staff, interns and/or volunteers.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice advance practice nursing as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.

Board Certified by American Nursing Association, or American College of Nurse Midwives, or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

One-year clinical experience in women?s health preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills required.

Ability to work with a diverse clients and staff, and to work as part of a team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Computer skills, experience with an EMR preferred.

Supports the mission and goals of the agency.

Physical requirements

Able to sit at a desk to use computer, general administrative duties and make phone calls for 4 plus hours per day.

Ability to provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, which may involve mobility and positioning throughout the day.

As an APP on the Trauma Surgery service, you will respond to trauma activations in the ER, assist in consultations, and contribute to the management for 20-50 high-acuity patients. This is not an operative position. Must be enthusiastic about a teaching environment for trainees of all levels.

This role functions autonomously and collaborates with other health professionals to provide high quality, cost effective health care to patients, manage health care systems, and influence health care decision-making through expert clinical reasoning, research and theory-based practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients which demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced knowledge.
• Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic health problems within specialty area of practice.
• Collaborates and consults with physicians and other health care professionals in area of clinical expertise.
• Develops educational systems and strategies for teaching patients, families and staff on topics related to area of expertise.
• Mentors graduate students in aspects of advanced practice.
• Actively participates in and/or conducts research pertinent to area of expertise.

Specific Performance Standards:

• 1. Clinical
• Conducts comprehensive appraisals of patients? health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations in specialty area
• Provides primary prevention strategies and management of stable health problems
• Provides specialty care to assigned patients that may include both stable and unstable chronic health problems
• Establishes diagnoses for common short-term or chronic health conditions
• Prescribes medications, diet, supplies, prosthetic devices and other home health aides or medication according to clinical privileges
• Orders and Interprets appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, electrocardiograms and diagnostic procedures specified in clinical privileges
• Evaluates patients to determine their need for further health care
• Teaches and counsels patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, plan of care, anticipated outcomes, and the use of prescribed treatments and drugs
• Documents in the medical record all care provided and/or procedures performed
• Serves as consultant to other disciplines in areas of expertise

2. Leadership/Organization

• Mentors staff to ensure quality of health care practices.
• Assists with policy development and review in area of expertise
• Participates in unit/departmental/divisional and/or hospital committees/task forces.
• Consults with management in assessment, problem solving, decision making, and evaluating clinical/system issues.

3. Education

• Provides comprehensive teaching to patients and their families.
• Develops and participates in programs to meet continuing education needs of staff.
• Provides formal education to both internal and external groups pertinent to area of specialty.
• Willing to serve as mentor and/or preceptor to students

4. Quality and Outcomes

• Identifies primary patient needs, participates as applicable in the NMG quality program with focus on measures in patient satisfaction, quality performance, and access
• Perform and coordinate administrative and other clinical program duties as assigned or indicated.
• Develop and monitor indicators of quality care and patient satisfaction for a specific patient population.
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physician Assistant Programs
• Physician Assistant in Medicine, Licensed (IL)
• Physician Assistant certification by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required as specified by department
• Controlled substance license and DEA registration required as specified by the department
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a PA

Preferred:

• ENT experience
