Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the first contact for patients who call or come in to schedule an appointment or inquire about our services.
  • Screen calls, identify better hearing candidates and facilitate excellent service by providing the information necessary to secure an appointment.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and conduct outbound retention calls to patients.
  • Coordinate provider’s schedule and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patient care while in the office.
  • Check patients in and out, collect and record payments, track revenue and accounting activities to include: end of day close, bank deposits, posting of charges, entering invoices, payments and insurance claim processing.
  • Maintain all daily, weekly and monthly reports and tracking documents. Respond to home office requests in a timely manner.
  • Verify patient information, billing/insurance data, collect and process documentation and maintain patient charts to include the filing of all patient records.
  • Work with insurance and workers compensation agencies to facilitate authorizations and benefit verification.
  • Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks such as typing, filing, office supply inventory, and mail.
  • Verify the status of and checking in hearing aids and repairs and track/maintain product inventory.
  • Work with the hearing care provider on grassroots marketing efforts that may include compiling physician packets, coordinating educational seminars, and sending recall letters.
  • Track marketing calls and inquiries from initial contact through the point of sale
  • Responsible to open and close the office on a daily basis and ensure the reception area is well maintained.
  • Training support for other location front office staff, as may be appropriate.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years office management experience in a customer driven industry is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Summary: Shipfitters are responsible for the layout, fabrication and installation of structural parts such as plates, bulkheads and frames. Shipfitters brace structures in position for welding. Shipfitters prepare templates for fabrication of nonstandard parts.

- Oklahoma City Veterans Health Care System This location consists of a 192-operating bed VHA facility located in Central Oklahoma serving 48 Oklahoma Counties and two counties in North Central Texas with a veteran population of over 225,000.

The Oklahoma City VAMC also includes Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Lawton, Ardmore, Stillwater, Altus, Ada, Enid, Blackwell, Oklahoma and Wichita Falls, Texas.

The Oklahoma City VAMC is also a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research.

Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care.

The pre-operative note may be completed up to 30 days prior and shall indicate the details of the case, what has been discussed, and that the planned surgical procedure has been approved.

Operative report: Shall be documented immediately after the operation or procedure.

It shall describe the procedure, operative findings, and condition of the patient.

Operative procedures: Shall provide all General Surgical Services.

Surgical services include pre-operative and post-operative evaluation and follow-up in addition to the operative session.

Shall follow all timeliness requirements for documentation to include operative note, operative report, admission and/or pre-procedure note.

GEN SURG: QUALIFICATIONS License: Shall have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.

Board certification: Shall be board certified by the American Board of General Surgery and be currently certified in the BLS and ACLS certifications.
