- Punch Tooling will focus on driving Sales of TRUMPF punch tooling in USMCA markets.

The role will require active consultation with customers during machine sales projects as well as after sales.

This position will require travelling to customers to understand their requirements and to support the field sales team with product expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities Act as expert in the field of punch tooling and its applications Consult with main product sales and TruServices sales generalists to support with punch tooling expertise Support design engineers in developing new tools for customers’ unique applications Act as subject matter expert for punch tooling and work closely together with TruPunch / TruMatic product management to increase Sales of punch tooling Develop product information for USMCA market to support field sales team Support creation of standard processes for tooling sales Maintain accurate sales pipeline data to track progress on sales targets Collaborate with tooling sales manager to achieve sales goals for punch tooling Experience Requirements include strong technical/sales experience with extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication and specifically punch technology.

Deep understanding punching applications and tool design.

Knowledge of TRUMPF punch equipment operation and TruTops software product a plus.

Ability to read and review customer blueprints, CAD files, product specifications and other documentation to understand requirements.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills required.

Located on the Connecticut shore, Backus Hospital is strategically located approximately 35 miles from Hartford serving the health care needs of New London County and several surrounding counties. Backus Hospital is a 233-bed medical center established in 1893. As of FY22, there were 1,738 employees and 620 physicians on staff. There were 2,388 inpatient surgeries and 6,563 ambulatory surgeries. It remains the only trauma center in Windham and New London Counties. Neurosurgery services are currently provided by three, full-time Hartford HealthCare neurosurgeons. One well-established neurosurgeon is nearing retirement and succession planning is underway to maintain a robust, fully-autonomous neurosurgery program with 24/7 neurosurgery call coverage at Backus Hospital. The new neurosurgeon will walk into immediate volume with a focus on spine. Interests in complex spine, general intracranial and basic neurotrauma will be supported.

When needed, you will develop user stories and coordinate development with the central AI Studio. You’ll help advance the vision of the “Construction Site of the Future,” showing how agentic AI will transform project operations.


Responsibilities

  • Workflow discovery and redesign: Lead Lean/Six Sigma workshops; map value streams; log high-impact AI agent opportunities that improve field efficiency.
  • AI agent development: Build and deploy multiple production-ready AI agents using Copilot Studio, Power Apps/Automate, ChatGPT Enterprise, or code-first frameworks. Integrate agents into Teams/SharePoint on the front end and Databricks Lakehouse or other enterprise data sources on the back end.
  • RAG pipelines and LLMOps: Design and operate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with Databricks Delta Tables, Unity Catalog, and Vector Search (or Spark/Hadoop equivalents). Monitor cost, latency, adoption, and model drift.
  • Cross-cloud orchestration: Blend OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock services through secure custom connectors to maximize flexibility and adoption.
  • Data integration: Partner with Data Engineering to deliver ETL/ELT pipelines, API integrations, and event-driven connectors that feed RAG pipelines and AI agents.
  • Change management and adoption: Train field teams, gather feedback, iterate quickly, and embed agents into SOPs. Track usage and ROI with adoption metrics and behavior-change KPIs.
  • Stakeholder communication: Translate technical results into business value for leadership and clients. Contribute use cases and playbooks for the “Construction Site of the Future.”
  • Compliance and hand-offs: Ensure all AI solutions meet the company’s data governance and security standards. Draft clear user stories and specs for escalation to central AI/Data Engineering teams when necessary.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years in AI engineering, data science, or ML-focused software engineering.
  • Proven experience building multiple AI agents in production environments.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and LLMOps practices.
  • Must have strong traditional software engineering background in Python

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Head of Manufacturing & Test Operations to build Vibrant's manufacturing organization from the ground up. This role is full-time and on-site in Ridgefield, CT.

This is not a maintenance role inside an established factory. This is a 0 to 1 build.


You will design the production floor, implement manufacturing systems, develop testing infrastructure, and establish the quality processes that ensure every system leaving the facility performs reliably in the field. You will work directly with executive leadership to define how our products are built, tested, and delivered.


The right person is both strategic and hands-on — comfortable defining manufacturing architecture and stepping onto the floor to debug hardware and solve problems. Your work will directly determine Vibrant's ability to scale.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Manufacturing System Architecture

  • Design and build Vibrant's manufacturing operations from the ground up
  • Define production line architecture, workstation layouts, and assembly flow
  • Establish SOPs, assembly instructions, and process controls
  • Implement systems for inventory, traceability, and production tracking

Production Operations

  • Own throughput, yield, and reliability across all manufacturing lines
  • Launch and stabilize new production stations and assembly processes
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks affecting cycle time and output
  • Drive continuous improvement across efficiency and cost structure

Test Infrastructure & QA

  • Design and deploy production testing infrastructure for every manufactured unit
  • Develop automated and manual test procedures to validate system performance
  • Establish root cause analysis processes for production failures and field returns
  • Partner with engineering on validation testing and product verification

Supply Chain & Component Quality

  • Manage vendor performance and component quality with supply chain leadership
  • Establish incoming quality control processes for critical components
  • Maintain feedback loops between production, suppliers, and product development

Team Building & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and develop Vibrant's early manufacturing team
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Serve as the escalation point for all manufacturing and quality issues

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Close feedback loops between design and production with hardware, firmware, and software teams
  • Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and engineering validation cycles
  • Partner with executive leadership on scaling strategy and facility expansion

  • Track record of building durable processes, not just solving immediate fires

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience at an early-stage hardware company
  • Background designing production test systems for complex hardware
  • Familiarity with HVAC or similar electromechanical products
