TRUMPF CNC Punch Press Programmer

As the TRUMPF CNC Punch Press Programmer, you will be responsible for preparing Top Assembly, detailed technical component drawings and weldments. These drawings will be used by production personnel. The drawings show the technical details of the products and structures, and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.

Additionally, this position will interact with welding Technicians and Assembly personnel to discuss project specifications and product adjustments. Responsibilities include new and revised product design using Solid Works, AutoCAD Programs. This position requires knowledge of bill of materials (BOM). The Engineering Support Technician will report directly to the Operations Manager, who may assign other duties as required.

Major Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering layouts/drawings of the assemblies, processes and parts to be manufactured, and production of 3-D modeling (from concept to manufacturing stage)
• Develop engineering designs from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
• Assist Engineering manager in development and implementation of all Engineering programs and procedures in the areas of engineering issues
• Participate in engineering new processes, continuous improvement and support of ongoing production activities
• Support the interface between design and manufacturing on new product development
• Produce documentation including test procedures, work instructions, test reports, and other reports and analyses necessary for compliance with relevant standards
• Support production to improve productivity
• Test and inspect machines and equipment and work with engineer to eliminate production problems
• Validate documentation requirements to support new product development
• Participate in training provided
• Compliance with all internal Policy and Procedures including, but not limited to, Health

and Safety and Quality Management and Compliance with all regional legislation

• Other duties as required

Educational / Training Requirements

• Trade certificate or apprenticeship (preferred)
• Mechanical or manufacturing background
• Equivalent hands-on experience considered in lieu of formal education

Must-have Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience programming TRUMPF CNC punch presses
• Hands-on experience with TruTops Punch/TruTops Boost (or equivalent Trumpf software)
• Strong understanding of:

-Sheet metal fabrication

-Tooling selection and optimization

-Nesting and material utilization

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T preferred)
• Experience working with steel, stainless, aluminum (various gauges)
• Proven ability to reduce scrap, cycle time and tool wear
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated loading/unloading systems
• Exposure to laser/punch combo machines
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement
• Ability to troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues
• Basic maintenance knowledge of Trumpf equipment
• Prior experience in a high-mix/low-volume production environment

CNC Department Supervisor

Pay: $66,560 - $93,600

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Department Supervisor to manage day-to-day production within our Laser and Press Brake operations. You’ll lead a fast-paced team producing precision armor plate components, ensuring targets are met while maintaining strict standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The right candidate is a proven shop-floor leader who can coach operators, troubleshoot processes, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the CNC Department Supervisor:

• Lead and supervise operators running CNC laser cutting and hydraulic press brake equipment
• Direct workflow from initial laser cutting through final precision bending of armor components
• Review blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure production accuracy
• Select proper tooling and dies for heavy-gauge steel fabrication
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for CNC machinery
• Monitor quality control using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances
• Coordinate material handling processes using cranes and forklifts

Requirements of the CNC Department Supervisor:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC machine shop or heavy metal fabrication environment
• Strong expertise in CNC programming and operation, preferably with Trumpf equipment
• Advanced knowledge of heavy-gauge steel behavior, bend allowances, and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with high-precision measurement tools and quality control standards
• Background in safely moving heavy materials using overhead cranes and forklifts
• Strong math skills and attention to detail

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for tool maintenance and repair in the Semiconductor Fab. It coaches and supports other maintenance personnel within the organization. Organizes equipment spares and track usage to ensure no line down situations. This position requires flexible working hours and close collaboration with other equipment engineers and equipment technicians across the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To coach a multi-disciplinary team of equipment engineers/technicians in the organization to perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure equipment reliability.
• To produce and maintain PM schedule.
• Overall strong equipment skills, both electrical and mechanical.
• To oversee modifications and upgrades of process equipment tools.
• To provide technical support in production equipment repairment.
• To maintain and track equipment downtime, failure modes, and spares inventory.
• To interface with vendors and contractors for tool installation, upgrades, maintenance and modifications.
• To write relevant documentation such as maintenance and recovery procedures.
• Candidate should have excellent problem solving and analytical skills and be familiar with semiconductor fabrication processes and tools.
• Duties will include day to day equipment sustaining activities, driving continuous improvement projects, and supporting production group to maintain tool up time.
• The selected candidate will be able to work both independently and, in a team, and have a proven track record of success.

Experience

• 3+ years hands on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of high-power diode laser, high vacuum systems is required (e.g., MBE, PVD, MOCVD, Ion Beam Deposition, Sputter, Evaporation)
• Strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to solve day-to-day tool problems
• Strong sense of initiative and ownership in troubleshooting when encounter new challenges
• Physically able to perform hands-on technical tasks on semiconductor process tools.

Pay Range (Level 1): $76,500 to $93,500
