The PM will lead dynamic project assignments from initial assessment through to completion, by leveraging and coordinating the expertise of diverse disciplines. An industry leader in industrial engine and turbine control solutions is seeking a Hydraulic Mechanical Technician to join its growing service team in Buena Park, CA.
This is a hands-on, technical role ideal for a mechanically skilled professional with a strong understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems related to natural gas, diesel engines, and turbine controls.
Key Responsibilities: Install, disassemble, assemble, test, and troubleshoot hydra-mechanical equipment.
Interpret system schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Analyze and optimize performance of mechanical governing and actuation systems.
Maintain shop instruments and follow repair policies in line with manufacturer standards.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to provide technical expertise and solutions.
Support field installations, calibrations, and on-site troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications: HS diploma or GED required; trade cert or equivalent experience in mechanical systems, engines, or transmissions preferred.
Strong working knowledge of internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines.
Basic understanding of engine/turbine controls and power generation systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of precision tools and diagnostic instruments.
Must have a valid driver’s license, passport, and TWIC card.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Additional Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work extended hours in a shop environment.
Some travel required for field support.
