Job Summary
The Cutting Tool Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom and standard cutting tools used in 4- and 5-axis horizontal milling machines. This role combines hands-on tool design, cutting condition analysis, supplier coordination, and direct collaboration with internal engineering teams and customers to deliver robust, production-ready tooling solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Cutting Tool Design & Engineering
• Coordinate design of custom cutting tools and tool assemblies for 4- and 5-axis horizontal machining applications with cutting tool suppliers.
• Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks or NX, including toolholder interfaces and complete tool stacks.
• Perform collision detection and tool envelope validation within machining environments.
• Optimize tool geometry and tool assemblies for performance, rigidity, tool life, and chip evacuation.
Cutting Condition Analysis
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and macros for cutting condition calculations.
• Analyze machining data to recommend optimized cutting parameters.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through data-driven tooling and process recommendations.
Standard Components & Supplier Management
• Identify, specify, and integrate standard cutting tool components if applicable and still achieve project quality and performance.
• Work directly with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and in coordination with purchasing department the delivery targets.
• Manage supplier relationships and corrective actions.
• Participate in supplier evaluations.
Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration
• Collaborate with the Project Engineering Group on turnkey machining systems.
• Support tooling proposals, technical presentations, and design reviews.
• Participate in tooling acceptance and validation activities.
• Provide support during installation and production ramp-up.
Documentation & Standards
• Create tooling documentation, BOMs, machining charts, specifications, and coordinate drawings from suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
• Maintain & use Excel templates and macros for cost estimations and comparisons
• Support best-practice development.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is beneficial but not required based on experience..
• 3+ years of experience in cutting tool applications or CNC tooling design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or NX and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of metal cutting theory and machining processes.
• Supplier and customer interaction experience.
Preferred Qualifications

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the development of cockpit electronics, such as In-Vehicle Infotainment, cluster and central information displays and interior monitoring products.
The main missions of the role are:
- Develops Mechanical product design (automotive Displays which are integrated to Instrument Panel or a Seat back) that are feasible to produce, while meeting the customer specifications & relevant industry standards / regulations
- Has prior experience in automotive Cluster Display and/or Center stack Display
- Selects materials & performs engineering calculations for mass, strength and required mechanical performance targets
- Has knowledge of design standards for Head impact
- Has knowledge of Cover Lens design using plastic or glass & exposure to coatings applied on the Cover Lens (AR/AG/ AFP/ HC)
- Brings technical know-how on automotive interior packaging and fits & finish

- Participate to RFI/RFQ process by providing the BOM and initial package concept.

Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering role in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive industry

The BMS (Battery Management System) Architect – AUTOSAR BSW Development is responsible for defining, designing, and guiding the implementation of the BSW software architecture for Battery Management Systems based on the AUTOSAR Classic Platform.
This includes ownership of the AUTOSAR BSW stack integration, ECU architecture, safety concept alignment, and software interfaces for highvoltage battery functions such as SOC/SOH/SOE estimation, cell monitoring, diagnostics, thermal management, and communication.
The architect collaborates closely with system engineering, functional safety, hardware engineering, and platform software teams to ensure a compliant, scalable, and production-ready BMS software solution.

Under the direction of the Sr Sales Engineer, the Associate Sales Engineer is responsible for growing HellermannTyton sales and spec positions. Account responsibility will be for business at the targeted OEM, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tier suppliers. Accounts will be assigned. A key role of this position is helping drive increased revenue above market growth within the existing account base. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Provide technical support and expertise during the sales process.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Recommends internal process improvements.
- Helps create and maintain quarterly game plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must live in the Detroit area.
- 2-5 years of experience with a manufacturer in the automotive industry
- Proficient at reading and working with engineering drawings.
- Technical aptitude and background, with the ability to understand, explain, and coach internal and external customers.
- Experience working with global businesses.
- Logistics and product line management experience preferred.
- Effective and credible presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Polished presentation skills, with a sincere demeanor.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
