Responsibilities
Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:
Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.
Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.
Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.
Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.
Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment
As a Surface Warfare Officer, you will work at sea and on shore, in a variety of environments. Sea duty could place you aboard ships within the fleet. Shore duty may involve a tour of duty at the Pentagon, a student assignment at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, or command and management positions at shore bases and stations around the world.
Training & Advancement
Those pursuing an Information Professional Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI.
Unless they have already been commissioned through the Naval Academy or ROTC, those pursuing a Surface Warfare Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School. Newly commissioned SWOs can expect an advanced training process that includes comprehensive training at sea and ashore.
Newly commissioned Surface Warfare Officers will be assigned to a surface ship, leading a team of Sailors responsible for a component of the ship - anything from electronics to weapons to engineering systems. In this setting, Officers are working toward full Surface Warfare qualification.
After completing these initial sea tours, Surface Warfare Officers may be selected to serve on high-level staffs, commands or strategic projects or they may be selected to work in recruitment. The ultimate goal for many: to one day command their own ship.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian sector.

Qualifications & Requirements
A degree from a four-year college or university is a minimum educational requirement to become a Commissioned Officer.
There are different ways to become a SWO. If you're a high school student or an undergraduate, you can enter through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) or through the U.S. Naval Academy. Those already having a degree attend Officer Candidate School (OCS), a 12-week Navy school in Newport, RI.
All candidates must also be U.S. Citizens.
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're currently serving, whether you've served before or whether you've never served before.
Part-Time Opportunities
There are part-time opportunities available as a Surface Warfare Officer.
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Surface Warfare Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Surface Warfare Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Most of what you do in the Navy Reserve is considered training. The basic Navy Reserve commitment involves training a minimum of one weekend a month (referred to as drilling) and two weeks a year (referred to as Annual Training) - or the equivalent of that.
Surface Warfare Officers in the Navy Reserve serve in an Officer role. Before receiving the ongoing professional training that comes with this job, initial training requirements must first be met.
For current or former Navy Officers (NAVET): Prior experience satisfies the initial leadership training requirement - so you will not need to go through Officer Training again.
Officers who previously held a commission in another United States Military Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Public Health Service, or United States Coast Guard are exempt from attending ODS or LDO/CWO Academy.

- Client Professional Services is looking for skilled Automotive Electrical Technicians in the Arlington, TX Area.
- This position is responsible for diagnosing electrical system circuit faults and repairing electrical wiring to OEM standards, diagnosing problems with all vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical repair equipment for an automotive manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weekday and some weekend on-site vehicle repair or repair person mentoring/coaching at an OEM vehicle assembly facility: shift hours could be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift (team has a schedule rotation, schedule to change based on assigned rotation)
- Diagnose electrical issues and execute a course of action

- Master’s degree (MBA or related field) may be considered an asset, especially for larger or more complex operations.
Minimum Experience
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing or a closely related industry.
- 5+ years of direct experience in plant operations management, including oversight of production, quality, safety, and supply chain functions.
- Proven track record of managing in a regulated food production environment, with demonstrated understanding of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and FDA/USDA regulations.
- Experience leading and developing cross-functional teams in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing setting.

Principal Azure Engineer, Platform & Delivery:
The Principal Azure Engineer, Platform & Delivery is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, and delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure solutions. This role combines deep hands-on Azure engineering expertise with ownership of delivery outcomes, often serving as the technical lead for initiatives without dedicated project management. The ideal candidate can translate complex or ambiguous business needs into secure, scalable Azure solutions and ensure they are executed predictably and effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Deep technical experience designing and operating high-availability, scalable infrastructure including networking, storage, virtualization, and identity.
- Developing and maintaining automated deployment modules using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
- Optimizing delivery pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to ensure repeatable, secure platform services.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise Azure networking architectures.
- Experience migrating and modernizing workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.
- Implementing governance frameworks, RBAC, and security baselines using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineers and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Experience defining and implementing monitoring and observability solutions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent Azure initiatives from intake and design through implementation and operational handoff.

- Foster strong partnerships with application teams to enable successful Azure adoption.
Additional Skills and Experience:
- Deep proficiency in Azure compute (VMs, AKS), storage, networking (VNETs, NSGs), and identity (Microsoft Entra ID).
- Experience operating in regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services, or higher education, including frameworks like HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Working knowledge of IT service management concepts.
- Experience with Azure Cost Management and FinOps practices.
- Strong problem investigation, root cause analysis, and decision-making skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior, architect-level, or principal cloud engineering role.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale Azure initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams.

The Job captain will be responsible for various projects that are in different phases of the production work flow and need to be completed by meeting project schedules, budget and quality standards. Will be managing the projects related to the permit sets, construction documents, master set construction documents, maintenance/creation and filling permit orders. Will be collaborating with counterparts in other groups such as Design and Engineering. Must be comfortable with a quick turn around time and able to manage the high volume. - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in manufacturing/QA preferred
- Knowledge of CMM Manager a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in precision inspection roles
- Experience using MCOSMOS; QVPAK and MeasureLink strongly preferred
- Proficient in interpreting GD&T and engineering-level drawings
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office software
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs repetitively
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform First Article Inspections and create FAIR reports
- Handle complex and critical part inspections using CMM and precision manual tools
- Identify and document quality issues and nonconformities
- Provide guidance to junior inspectors and help develop their technical inspection capabilities
- Collaborate with engineering on inspection-related input for traveler creation
- Assist other departments as needed to ensure workflow continuity
