Position Summary:
The Nurse Director assumes 24 hours responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of a nursing department(s). The Nurse Director supervises, evaluates, and holds accountable the ongoing performance of the nursing staff based on the facility’s operational pillars. Maintains structures and processes that ensure patient centered care and supports the development of staff through mentoring and stewardship. He/she supports work redesign and quality improvement using evidenced base practice to achieve clinical excellence. The Nurse Director is held fiscally responsible for the departments operating budgets and administrative functions.
