Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop, evaluate, and design plant projects and modifications that improve efficiency, reliability, and safety. You will manage capital projects end-to-end, from budgeting and scheduling to supervising contractors and internal teams, while ensuring compliance with environmental and mechanical integrity standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development, design, and execution of mechanical projects.
  • Provide technical support and consulting for plant operations and maintenance.
  • Supervise peers, contractors, and project teams.
  • Propose and implement new procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and process monitoring tools.
  • Interface with safety, environmental, operations, maintenance, accounting, and purchasing teams.
  • Manage vendor and consultant relationships and coordinate project bids.
  • Conduct field supervision and inspections of critical equipment.
  • Participate in equipment inspections, process safety reviews, hazard analysis, and facility turnarounds.
  • Ensure timely review of drawings and Management of Change Orders.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years in engineering, preferably in oil, gas, or chemical industries.
  • Proven experience leading technical or project teams.
  • Experience with capital and operating cost estimating and economic analysis.
  • Knowledge of mechanical integrity programs.
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
