Vibration Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Vibration Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will monitor, collect, and analyze vibrations on rotating equipment as part of a predictive maintenance program. You will diagnose equipment issues, provide repair recommendations, and help reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect vibration data (overall & FFT) on pre-defined routes.
- Analyze vibration data, establish baselines, and set alarm levels.
- Recommend corrective actions to operations and maintenance teams.
- Maintain and update condition monitoring software and equipment databases.
- Observe maintenance practices and suggest process improvements.
- Support lubrication and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Participate in turnaround planning and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Provide clear reports and documentation of findings to management.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Vibration Analyst Category I required; ability to obtain Category II within one year.
- Experience: 5+ years in machinery vibration measurement and analysis in mechanical or process industries.
- Strong understanding of machine vibration theory, fault diagnosis, and condition evaluation, including turbo machinery.
- Experience operating vibration data collection/analysis equipment and software.
- Ability to supervise contract vibration personnel.
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
