Job Purpose: This position reports directly to the QC Supervisor. The QC Technician will be responsible for executing weight checks on all operating wire drawing machines, ensuring compliance with company standards, and making or reporting changes needed to appropriate employees. In addition, the QC Technician is directly responsible for entering all data collected into the company database.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability.
• Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
• Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, sales team, and other appropriate staff.
• Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; works closely with production in the root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
• Participates in activities of the Quality Control laboratory or other sources engaged in acceptance of materials.
• Reviews vendors certified test reports for compliance (Mill Reports).
• Assists in establishing manufacturing procedures.
• Assists in inspection of the product with all non-destructive testing methods when needed.
• Assists production with quality issues on all production related materials.
• Keeps upper management informed at all times of in-plant and other problems.
• Coordinates sales engineering on drafting problems
• Participates in NTPEP and any other State inspections.
• Performs internal quality audits
• Initiates and completes pertinent inspection reports.
• Investigates customer complaints and evaluates and recommends corrective action to problems.
• Assists Production Supervisors in interpreting blueprints, manufacturing procedures and inspections procedures.
• Notifies the Quality supervisor and manager, Plant Manager and Production Supervisor of product quality problems.
• Oversees document control program, interfacing with plant employees & sales engineering.
• Oversees accuracy of all test reports, prepares if needed and reviews all test reports for the customer
• Adheres to and maintains safety standards, policies, practices, and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries within the QC Department
• May perform additional duties as needed.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• 1 year quality control experience, manufacturing experience is a plus
• High School Diploma, some college is a plus
• Basic math skills including geometry and basic math
• Knowledge of measuring instruments – includes calipers, micrometers etc.
• Ability to measure straight lines, angles and diameters
• Ability to pass written and hands on math test
• Experience with DOT, ASTM, ISO and NTPEP standards a plus
• Minimum of 1 year experience using a computer – Excel experience preferred
• Flexibility based on plant production schedules
• Ability to read and understand company/industry standards

Work Environment:

• Employees in this classification may be exposed to adverse conditions such as inclement weather, dust, loud noise, heat and wind.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically in the production plants 80% of the time with 20% of the time inside the laboratory.
• The use of personal protection equipment is required. Clothing appropriate to a manufacturing facility is required.

While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, sit.
• Lift on occasion weight up to 50 lbs.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, dept perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Able to wear required PPE, not limited to: steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses and hard-hat.

As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing
and maintaining AMA's enterprise data platform to support analytics,
interoperability, and responsible AI adoption. This role partners closely with
platform engineering, data governance, data science, IT security, and business

role contributes to AMA's modern lakehouse architecture, optimizing data
operations, and embedding governance and quality standards into engineering
workflows. This role serves as a
senior technical contributor within the team-providing mentorship to junior
engineers and implementing engineering best practices within the data platform function,
in alignment with architectural direction set by leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Engineering & AI Enablement

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and
  ETL/ELT workflows supporting analytics, operational reporting, and AI/ML use
  cases.
• Implement best practice patterns for ingestion,
  transformation, modeling, and orchestration within a modern lakehouse
  environment (e.g., Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake).
• Develop highperformance
  data models and curated datasets with strong attention to quality, usability,

REQUIREMENTS:

The selected candidate will perform and/or assist in the performance of Parts Engineering, Components Engineering or Applications Engineering tasks supporting programs in the Proposal, System Design Description, Low Rate Initial Production, Production and Support phases. Position will require day to day interface with Designers, Contracts, Estimating, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other disciplines. 

 
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do: 

• Understand and/or generate a program statement of work (SOW) and other defined customer component application requirements. 

• Develop and/or sustain a proactive Obsolescence Management process to deliver cost saving obsolescence mitigation strategies and solutions. 

• Drive resolution through support or execution of lifetime buys, selections of alternate parts, redesign efforts or other mitigation strategies and will facilitate and support contract negotiations, basis of estimates, and supplier statements of work for proposal efforts. 

• Interact with Program and customer leadership on a regular basis to communicate status of mitigation strategies. 

• Conduct trade study analysis help identify cost effective obsolescence driven cut in points for proposed unit redesigns.

Qualifications You Must Have:  

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with any combination of the following:

• Experience with proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies. 

• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation skills to adequately discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues. 

• Experience with project management working with schedules, costs, and integration of stakeholder needs throughout the obsolescence process. 

• Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs. 

• Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs. 

• Risk and Opportunity business case analysis experience supporting sustainment vs redesign cut in decisions. 

Qualifications We Prefer:  

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related science or engineering discipline 

• Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools. 

• Understanding of the application of technical theories and concepts as they apply to electronic components and the parts management field. 

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definition. 

• Knowledge of component failure modes by commodity 

• Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs 

• Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications 

• Knowledge of analog design and analysis, general knowledge of digital circuitry and interfaces 

• Excellent communication skills to interface with other Integrated Product Team members, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Operations, and Supplier Engineering.  

• Capable of supporting regular customer interactions including but not limited to leadership engagements, responding to proposal requests and contract negotiations. 

• Outstanding organizational, presentation and technical skills. 

• Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize responsibilities. 

• Willingness to support occasional travel.
