Job Summary
The Contract Officer for Sponsored Programs is responsible for managing the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts related to research funding and sponsored programs. This position ensures compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations while providing guidance and support to faculty and researchers throughout the contracting process.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Review and analyze research proposals to ensure they meet institutional standards and comply with sponsor requirements before submission
Job Duty 2 -
Negotiate contract terms and conditions with funding agencies to protect the institution's interests while facilitating research initiatives
Job Duty 3 -
Draft, edit, and finalize research contracts and agreements to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with institutional policies
Job Duty 4 -
Provide guidance and support to faculty and researchers throughout the contracting process by answering questions and addressing concerns related to contracts and funding
Job Duty 5 -
Monitor and manage the compliance of awarded contracts by ensuring that all terms and conditions are followed during the life of the grant or contract
Job Duty 6 -
Maintain accurate records of all contracts and agreements to ensure proper documentation and facilitate audits and reviews
Job Duty 7 -
Conduct training sessions for faculty and staff on contract management and sponsored program policies to improve understanding and compliance
Job Duty 8 -
Stay informed about changes in federal regulations and funding agency policies to ensure the institution's compliance and enhance its research capabilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal counsel and finance departments, to address issues related to contracts and sponsored programs

Job Summary
The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia seeks applications to fill two Postdoctoral Fellow research positions in Finance. The selected candidate will closely collaborate with the finance area faculty at Scheller and can also be affiliated with Financial Services Innovation Lab and Quantitative and Computational Finance program at Georgia Tech.
The postdoc is expected to begin in January 2026, with start dates as late as August 1, 2026 also being considered. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed depending on mutual consent, satisfactory performance, and the availability of resources.
The selected candidates may also be able to get access to some proprietary datasets from the credit bureau as part of the research collaboration subject to appropriate approvals from the credit bureau and Georgia Tech.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Teaching one course at the undergraduate level per year.
- Advance several research projects from conceptualization through publication.
- Conduct research independently and in collaboration with faculty in the finance area at Scheller.
- Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and presentations of research results.
- Contribute to the outreach activities of the finance area, including conference organization and workshops.
- Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in academic journals and/or presentation; assist in grant writing.
- Perform related duties based on the finance area needs.

About the School of History and Sociologyat the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of History and Sociology (HSOC) is a uniquely interdisciplinary unit with an intellectual culture of cross-pollination between sociological and historical scholarship as well as work in science and technology studies. HSOC offers a Bachelor of Science degree in History, Technology, and Society and several joint undergraduate minors including Social Justice; Women, Science, and Technology; Health, Medicine, and Society; Science, Technology, and Society; and Sports, Society, and Technology. At the graduate level, HSOC offers master's and doctoral degrees in the History and Sociology of Technology and Science. The School of History and Sociology () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, seeks a tenure-track assistant professor of history who specializes in immigration and the United States in a period after 1860. We are particularly interested in applicants whose work also includes a focus on women, gender, and/or the U.S. South although scholars of immigration and the United States whose work falls outside of those areas are still encouraged to apply. Due to existing research and teaching strengths in the School, preference will be given to applicants who study non-European immigrants and/or their descendants. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the second half of the U.S. history survey, including possibly online, as well as classes in the candidate's area of specialization that suit the needs of the School.
