Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of innovative environmental strategies, ensuring all operations comply with relevant environmental laws and regulations.

Oversee wastewater management, landfill operations, and hazardous and solid waste handling in line with best practices and compliance requirements.

Drive change management initiatives to ensure continuous environmental performance improvement.

Coordinate and manage the process for securing Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) and other necessary permits.

Develop and deliver environmental training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of environmental regulations and their impact on operations.

Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections, identifying areas of risk and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Liaise with federal, municipal, and provincial authorities on environmental matters, ensuring all operations are in line with regulatory requirements.

Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental matters to the senior management team, supporting informed decision-making.

Qualifications: Requried: bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

A master's degree will be considered an asset.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in wastewater management, landfill operations, and hazardous and solid waste handling.

Expert knowledge of federal, municipal, and provincial environmental regulations.

Demonstrated experience in securing Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) and other necessary permits.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive change management initiatives and lead a team towards achieving environmental objectives.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify environmental risks and implement effective corrective actions.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
