Ridgefield, CT 1 week ago

LOCATION: NYC, Stamford CT, Ridgefield, CT

JOB TYPE Full-Time, On-Site

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Vibrant Building Technologies is an innovative hardware and software company building the next generation of home health technology. Our systems combine advanced sensing, ventilation, filtration, and intelligent software to actively manage the environments people live in. We are reinventing one of the most overlooked systems in the modern home, transforming HVAC from a passive mechanical appliance into intelligent infrastructure that continuously improves health, comfort, and performance.

Vibrant is led by a founder who also oversees a portfolio of complementary operating businesses across real estate development, construction, design, and home technology. These businesses are intentionally built to work together, forming a vertically integrated platform focused on a single goal: developing, designing, building, and equipping the healthiest, highest-performing homes and real estate in the world.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Chief of Staff & Head of Strategic Initiatives to serve as a force multiplier for the CEO and COO.

Approximately 80% of this role is focused on Vibrant Building Technologies. The remaining time supports cross-functional strategic initiatives across the CEO and COO's other operating businesses in real estate, design, and technology.

This person will work directly between the CEO and COO on a daily basis — translating vision into structured initiatives, driving execution on complex projects, and ensuring that the highest-priority work moves forward with speed and clarity.

This is not a coordination or scheduling role. It is a high-output operator position built for someone who is hungry, moves fast, and thrives when the path forward is not fully defined. The right person uses AI tools fluently as a core part of how they work, operates with a high sense of urgency, and produces at a level that consistently exceeds what most people think is possible in the time available.

If you need a clear job description, a defined process, and a stable environment to do your best work, this role is not for you. If ambiguity energizes you and high output is just how you operate, keep reading.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Vibrant Building Technologies — Primary Focus

  • Work directly with the CEO and COO to drive Vibrant's most critical strategic and operational initiatives
  • Translate founder vision into actionable plans with clear ownership and timelines
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement systems that improve execution speed
  • Coordinate across hardware, software, manufacturing, and go-to-market workstreams
  • Prepare strategy briefs, internal memos, and presentations for leadership
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, writing, and decision support
  • Support new venture evaluation, partnerships, and expansion opportunities as Vibrant scales

Cross-Company Initiatives — Supporting Role

  • Drive select cross-functional projects spanning the broader portfolio of operating businesses
  • Serve as the connective tissue between the CEO and COO on priorities that span multiple companies
  • Conduct research and analysis for new opportunities across real estate, design, and technology
  • Ensure high-priority cross-company initiatives have structure, ownership, and momentum

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE — FIRST 12 TO 18 MONTHS

  • The CEO and COO spend more time on the work only they can do at Vibrant
  • Strategic initiatives that previously stalled are moving with consistency and momentum
  • Vibrant's cross-functional projects have clear owners, timelines, and accountability
  • AI tools are being used across the organization to compress timelines and improve output quality
  • Leadership has a trusted operator who can be handed any high-priority problem and run with it
  • Cross-company initiatives are handled with the same speed and clarity as Vibrant-specific work

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

  • You are hungry — not content, not coasting, and genuinely motivated to do some of the best work of your career here
  • You thrive in fast-moving, high-output environments and find ambiguity energizing rather than paralyzing
  • You use AI tools — Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others — as a natural part of how you research, write, analyze, and build
  • You have taken ambiguous, complex problems and turned them into structured plans that actually get executed
  • You are comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership and know how to operate at that level without hand-holding
  • You write and communicate with precision — your memos, briefs, and presentations make decisions easier, not harder
  • You produce at a high level and take ownership seriously — you do not need problems to be fully defined before you start solving them
  • You want proximity to how a high-growth technology company is built and led, not just a seat in a single department

You will likely thrive here if you are the type of person who sees an unstructured, high-stakes initiative and immediately starts thinking about how to build the plan, align the people, and get it moving — and then does it faster than anyone expected.

Bonus Skills — Not Required But Genuinely Useful:

  • Engineering background or technical fluency in hardware, software, or systems design
  • Understanding of real estate development — how projects are financed, entitled, designed, and built
  • Familiarity with construction — how projects are managed, sequenced, and delivered
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, or specifications across disciplines
  • Experience working across both physical and digital product environments simultaneously

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Proficient and proactive use of AI tools as a core part of how you work
  • Exceptional structured thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High personal output — demonstrated track record of getting a lot done with urgency and quality
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience working closely with founders or senior executives in a similar capacity
  • Background in hardware, technology, or early-stage company environments
  • Exposure to real estate development, construction, or design businesses
  • Comfort moving between a primary company focus and broader organizational initiatives

Career Gap? Outdated Tech stack? Rebuild Momentum and Get Back Into the Market.

If you've been unemployed for 3–6+ months—or longer—you've probably seen how quickly the market can change.

A career gap or an outdated tech stack can reduce callbacks, even when you have talent.

Recruiters may assume your skills are outdated or your confidence is lower.

But gaps don't define ability.

They simply require a strategy: refresh your stack, rebuild proof of work, and re-enter with structure.

SynergisticIT's JOPP is designed for exactly this scenario.

Since 2010, SynergisticIT has helped candidates return to the workforce and land full-time jobs at major employers—companies like Google, Apple, PayPal, Visa, Western Union, Wells Fargo, Client, Client, Banking, Walmart Labs, Client, and more—often with offers between $90,000 and $154,000 depending on role and expertise.

JOPP is built to close the gap between "I used to work in tech” or "I learned tech” and "I'm ready to be hired today.” Why gaps hurt—and how to neutralize them Employers worry about currency: are your tools current? Can you still perform? The solution is demonstrating recent, relevant work: projects, certifications, and interview readiness.

JOPP helps you rebuild that proof and confidence systematically.

Current role demand (expressed with variety) SynergisticIT commonly supports hiring pipelines for roles such as junior software programmer, Java full stack engineer, Python/Java developer, DevOps/cloud engineer, plus data-track roles like data analyst, BI analyst, data engineer, data scientist, and ML/AI engineer.

The focus areas remain: Java / Full Stack / DevOps and Data Analytics / Data Engineering / Data Science / ML/AI.

Why programs don't fix gaps Many candidates with gaps try "one more course,” but that rarely changes outcomes.

SynergisticIT often sees candidates arrive after trying multiple bootcamps or online learning platforms and still not securing roles.

A commonly cited pattern is that around 30% of JOPP candidates have already done other bootcamps, university bootcamps, or Udemy/Coursera tracks and didn't get hired—because those options focused on learning without the placement and interview execution.

Ideal candidates for gap-to-offer support Professionals returning after layoffs or personal reasons Candidates with limited recent experience but strong potential Recent grads who never launched properly International candidates on F1/OPT with timeline pressure SynergisticIT provides guidance around STEM extension and process support for H-1B/Green Card filing once employed (as applicable through employers).

Applied Everywhere? Still No Interviews or Offers? Let's Fix the Missing Link.” If you've sent out hundreds—maybe thousands—of applications and your inbox is still silent, it doesn't mean you're not capable.

It usually means your profile isn't lining up with how companies filter, shortlist, and interview candidates right now.

In today's market, employers expect more than a degree or a few tutorial projects.

They want candidates who look job-ready on paper, sound confident in interviews, and demonstrate hands-on ability in the tools teams actually use.

That's exactly what SynergisticIT's JOPP is built to solve—because the real challenge isn't learning in isolation.

The real challenge is translating learning into interviews and offers.

Since 2010, SynergisticIT has helped thousands of candidates secure full-time roles with leading companies and recognizable brands—think Google, Apple, PayPal, Visa, Western Union, Wells Fargo, Client, Walmart Labs, Client, Banking, Client, Wayfair, and many more—often in the $95k to $154k offer range depending on role, location, and skillset.

The purpose of SynergisticIT's JOPP is simple: close the gap between what you know and what employers expect you to prove.

That gap is where most bootcamps leave you stranded.

Here's the truth most bootcamps won't say out loud: training alone doesn't win offers.

Many programs teach "just enough to build a demo,” but employers hire based on whether you can handle real work—clean coding, debugging, teamwork workflows, version control, APIs, cloud basics, deployment pipelines, and the ability to explain what you did.

That's why SynergisticIT positions JOPP as a Job Placement Program, not just a bootcamp.

The program emphasizes structured skill-building, project depth, resume positioning, interview readiness, and support through the job-search process.

What roles are in demand right now? A lot of jobseekers assume they must become "AI experts” overnight.

Not true.

Many companies are actively hiring professionals in core roles that run modern software teams.

In JOPP, the demand typically includes roles such as entry-level software programmer, Java full stack developer, Python/Java developer, data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, and machine learning/AI engineer.

In other words, SynergisticIT focuses on building candidates across Java / Full Stack / DevOps and Data Analytics / Data Engineering / Data Science / ML/AI based on what employers repeatedly request.

Who benefits most from this model? If you're applying and not seeing results, you're likely in one of these situations: You have skills, but your resume doesn't show impact and your projects look generic You know tools, but you can't explain them confidently in interviews You've learned from courses, but you lack real-world structure and job alignment You've built a portfolio, but it doesn't match what hiring managers evaluate SynergisticIT works especially well for candidates such as: recent grads in CS/Engineering/Math/Stats, jobseekers who were laid off and need an updated stack, career switchers who want a guided plan, candidates with career gaps, people with "learning but not hired” bootcamp history, experienced professionals not landing interviews, and international candidates on F1/OPT needing a clear employment pathway.

SynergisticIT also supports candidates with guidance around STEM extension, and provides process support for H-1B and Green Card filing once employed (as applicable through employers and standard processes).

If you're reading this and thinking, "I've already done a bootcamp,” you're not alone.

SynergisticIT often sees candidates join after trying other bootcamps, Udemy/Coursera tracks, or university bootcamps—then realizing the missing piece was job-placement execution.

Many programs focus on teaching; SynergisticIT focuses on getting you hired.

If you want to explore the program directly, here are the key links: Job Placement Program (JOPP): Java Job Placement Program Data Science / Data Jobs Program Event videos (OCW, JavaOne, Gartner): USA Today feature Contact Us (Fill the Form): You don't need more random applications.

You need a job-ready plan.

Start smarter—start with the right support.
