What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Purpose

The Project Manager’s first escalation point is to the Client Success Manager if a project or task
is appearing to fall behind schedule. The PM can also use their judgement and has the right to
escalate to Operations Director, Technical Director, VP Operations, another applicable VP,
and/or the CEO as they see warranted to get assistance when needed.
Summary
The Project Manager acts as a Delivery Manager, driving the continuous flow of both dedicated
projects and ongoing business/technical requests to ensure client success. They partner with
Client Success Managers to prioritize client queues and resource allocation, maintaining high quality

About the Role We are hiring a Front-End Developer who can bridge the gap between front-end implementation, and design-to-code workflow. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks on the front-end, working on features all the way through to the final, pixel-perfect user interface.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Build responsive, performant user interfaces and dashboards using React.js with modern patterns, implementing styling with a strong focus on raw CSS.
- Design & UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate with design by utilizing tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, adapting generated code, and focusing on pixel-perfect design implementation and mobile-first responsiveness using raw CSS/HTML.

Required Qualifications

- Balance of use of a AI IDE (Cursor, Claude Code...) with your own logic and understanding
- Front-End Depth: Expertise in raw CSS and advanced JavaScript (ES6+), with proven ability to build complex, responsive, and performant UIs.
- UI/UX Implementation Depth: Experience specializing in raw CSS/HTML for advanced layouts, familiarity with AI Figma-to-code tools, and proven ability to adapt AI-generated code to align with an existing component architecture.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Previous experience in a high-velocity team environment with separated responsibilities.
- Experience with DevOps practices (Docker, CI/CD).

FK Instrument is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for evaluating customer RFQs, developing efficient manufacturing plans, and preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for precision machined components.
You’ll play a critical role in securing new business while ensuring projects are quoted profitably and aligned with our shop capabilities. This position works closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Review customer RFQs, blueprints, and 3D CAD models to assess manufacturability and define project scope
- Develop efficient manufacturing process plans, including operation sequencing
- Estimate setup times, cycle times, labor, and machine utilization using CAM software and historical data
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, machine time, tooling, outside services, and overhead
- Source pricing for raw materials and subcontracted services (heat treating, plating, grinding, finishing, etc.)
- Identify manufacturing risks (tight tolerances, complex geometries, difficult materials) and incorporate into estimates
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure alignment with shop capabilities and capacity
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Track awarded jobs by comparing estimated vs. actual costs and lead times to improve accuracy
- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as quote turnaround time and win rates to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records of quotes while ensuring confidentiality of customer and company data
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (setup and/or programming)
- Experience with ERP/estimating systems and CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T with a high level of accuracy
- Experience factoring in material lead times, supply chain constraints, and cost fluctuations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple quotes under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
