The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, own assigned departments and support the store management team. The Temporary Key Carrier is responsible for the overall direction of store associates and coordination of store operations in the absence of the Store or Assistant Management staff. You will typically be utilized in this capacity to cover for vacation or illness. Include the following (Other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Greets all customers and assists in answering questions about merchandise and locating merchandising; uses The S.A.L.E.S. process to help customers find everything on their lists.
• Completes all company and departmental paperwork accurately, including Price Change Bulletins, Operation Actions, Red Tags, and Bin Tags.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking paperwork against items received when required, and replenishes stock when necessary.
• Displays and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company plan-o-gram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified guidelines by your management team.
• Maintains on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including; cycle count, negative on-hand.
• Follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness.
• Maintains familiarity with new products and ad merchandise.
• Has sound awareness of surroundings, customers, etc. and practices loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses.
• Working knowledge of the tools available to operate the store; including, but not limited to: RF Gun, Back Office Procedures and the use of Store Opportunities.
• Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions. Engages the customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, and work with colleagues and customers effectively and professionally.

• Assists with color matching and mixing paint
• Assists and/or makes recommendations to customers in the service areas within the store including, but not limited to; chain, rope, key, and glass cutting, screen repair, and knife sharpening.
• Operates cash register by scanning all merchandise, engaging the customer through suggestive selling, proper tendering of each transaction, and thanking the customer for shopping at GLA.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Participates in periodic team meetings.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required along with the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Job Summary: Plan, organize, and direct the design engineering staff to develop specialized structures for North American Class 1 and Transit applications. Lead the development and standardization of the design engineering processes for the production and assembly of products across seven facilities within the US. Responsible for implementing and championing new methodologies to improve the consistency and timeliness of the design engineering activities, as well as streamline and clarify projects to reduce completion time.

Job Duties:

• Manage engineering personnel (including direct reports) to ensure projects are completed and released according to specifications and schedules
• Champion the continuous improvement efforts of design engineering
• Identify opportunities to improve or mitigate risk through data driven process approach
• Develop designs with consideration of interested parties, manufacturability, and cost implications
• Create training programs to develop new hires, expand roles of existing employees, and empower the Design team as a whole
• Communicate with Customers and outside agencies to prioritize submittals and approvals
• Forecast team workload and schedules, develop strategies to address resources constraints; promote teamwork and shared workload
• Implement and review check sheets to monitor progress and quality of design work
• Assign and prioritize staff projects
• Manage overall design engineering backlog
• Lead product strategy vision and development requirements to achieve strategy goals, market share, cost, and OPACC objectives

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering (PE desirable) or bachelor’s degree with equivalent required experience
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations (FRA, AAR, EN, AS/RISSB) preferred
• Experience in structural steel design, metallurgy, steel machining, and processing
• Demonstrated experience in leading product development and design processes
• Knowledge of ISO (AREMA & AAR a plus) standards and specifications related to product design and application, product development, engineering principles, and testing, to include theory, design and manufacture, project management, and data analysis
• Proven experience with design software including various 2D and 3D modeling and drawing platforms (AutoDesk-AutoCAD, Inventor, Visual Basic, LISP)
• Experience with ASME Y14.5, AIAG Core Tools (DFMEA) and Root Cause are a plus
• Strong proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Blueprint reading

Permitting Specialist (Telecom | Long-Haul Projects) – Florence, KY (Cincinnati area)

Location: Within ~50 miles of Florence, Kentucky (Greater Cincinnati).

On-site daily; hybrid possibility.

About the Role

We’re hiring Permitting Specialists to support long-haul telecom infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end permitting process—keeping projects compliant, moving forward on schedule, and coordinated across municipalities and agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of permitting activities for long-haul telecom projects, including private-property facilities and associated public right-of-way requirements
• Prepare, submit, track, and monitor permit packages with local, state, and federal authorities to secure timely approvals
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with zoning, codes, ordinances, DOT requirements, and multi-jurisdictional regulations
• Represent projects in the community by presenting to neighborhood committees and at public hearings before governing bodies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for permitting inquiries and proactively resolve issues to prevent delays

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of permitting or regulatory compliance experience (telecom preferred; utilities/construction/regulated industries also relevant)
• Demonstrated success preparing and submitting permit packages and navigating approval processes
• Ability to interpret zoning rules, building codes, ordinances, DOT requirements, and multi-jurisdiction regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints/engineering plans); understanding of outside plant (OSP) design and telecom standards
• Strong communication and public-speaking skills (community meetings/public hearings experience valued)
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools; ability to research regulatory updates (Quick Base is a plus)
