This internship will provide exposure to a manufacturing plant while also supporting other CentroMotion businesses remotely.

Responsibilities:

1. Establish inventory of manufacturing and quality control tooling.

2. Utilize existing Gage Control software to track tooling (if possible).

3. Establish physical storage locations for all tooling.

4. Implement 6S for tooling, so that missing tooling can be easily physically identified.

5. Establish check-in/check-out process for tooling.

6. Review QC tooling and ensure quantities of tools are appropriate for each tool type (too many/too little).

7. Look for opportunities to reduce QC calibrations for unnecessary and overabundance of tools.

8. Work with operators to create work instructions

Summary of Position

How You'll Contribute:

The Design Engineer (DE) is a contributing member of the core project team for Faith & Performance projects. The DE supports projects through the lifecycle from sales concept and design development to construction drawings and implementation support. Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Superintendent – Heavy Highway/Civil Construction

Syracuse, NY Area (Projects within 1.5 hours)

$110,000 – $150,000 base (DOE) + Bonus

About the Opportunity

A growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale public infrastructure and heavy highway projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can independently run projects from start to finish while managing crews, subcontractors, and schedules in fast-paced environments.

Projects primarily include transportation and public works infrastructure, including bridges, earthwork, drainage, and structural concrete scopes ranging from $1M–$30M.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all onsite construction activities for heavy civil/highway projects
• Manage daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors (5–12 personnel typical)
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with Project Managers
• Procure materials and coordinate site logistics
• Conduct quality control inspections and enforce safety standards
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Manage multiple trades and maintain accountability across subcontractors
• Utilize tablets/apps for daily reporting and timekeeping
