The Cost Estimator is responsible for analyzing project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for steel tube products, fabrication, and related services. This role involves evaluating tubular dimensions, specifications, technical drawings, material requirements, labor, production processes, and market pricing to support competitive quoting, profitability analysis, and strategic decision‐making.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Analysis
- Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for PTG's tubular products, including raw materials, processing, fabrication, packaging, and transportation.
- Review prints, specifications, and customer requirements to determine material dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing needs.
- Apply production times, labor rates, equipment usage, and overhead allocations.
- Evaluate supplier quotes for raw steel, coatings, finishes, and outsourced services.
- Maintain cost models for various steel tube sizes, grades, and manufacturing scenarios.
- Conduct post‐project or post‐quote variance reviews by comparing estimated vs. actual costs and update cost models accordingly.
- Perform cost‐related risk assessments and develop alternative pricing scenarios based on material volatility, production constraints, or changing customer requirements.
Quoting & Pricing
- Prepare customer quotes and proposals within required timelines.
- Ensure pricing aligns with company margin guidelines, market conditions, and cost fluctuations.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and operations to confirm pricing strategies and feasibility.
Data & Documentation
- Maintain a database of historical cost information, supplier pricing, and industry benchmarks.
- Track steel market price trends and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Document all estimate assumptions, data sources, and calculation methodologies.
Cross‐Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify cost‐saving opportunities.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, alternative materials, or production methods that reduce cost while maintaining quality and feasibility.
- Coordinate with purchasing to validate material availability and updated pricing.
- Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Qualifications

- Experience in cost estimating, preferably within steel manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial products.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (CAD experience a plus).

The Controls Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment functionality; machine/equipment capabilities as they relate to safety, throughput, and quality. The Controls Engineer will test and coordinate the implementation of preventive actions in the production lines in order to establish and verify capable and stable production processes; resolve issues associated with assembly automation, work stations, robotics and automated equipment; troubleshoot PLC controls with electrical components servo-drives, motors, wiring and panels; and will review and make PLC program changes on Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley and other machining PLC programs. This role will also capture and document changes and update prints as needed; lead, coordinate and facilitate trouble shooting electrical issues, problem resolution issues as they relate to equipment downtime, throughput improvement or any safety concerns, establish, maintain, update and administer electrical control plans; participate in all aspects of simultaneous engineering efforts to improve current processes and new projects; and perform any related tasks as needed. The Controls Engineer will work closely with maintenance groups, trades and business unit leaders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years manufacturing experience in automotive assembly and/or machining environment
- Proven program experience with Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, PLC-5, SLC500 & Controls Logix
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Provider is responsible for rounding and managing the clinical care of the population at the assigned SNF.
- The provider is responsible for rounding daily and prescribing medications and treatments for residents residing at SNFs.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in an appropriate field of science or engineering (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in pigment dispersions, paint technology, or coatings applications, or commensurate experience
- Direct colorant and/or paint formulation experience, or specific base chemistry experience (water, solvent, 1K, 2K, epoxy, urethane, acrylic, enamel, alkyd, etc.)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Academic background in coatings chemistry, polymer chemistry, surfactant/additive technology, or rheology
- Power BI knowledge
- Experience with business ERP systems

Essential Functions
- Comply with safety rules and regulations; attend safety meetings and training; inspect work areas for hazards or deficiencies; report injury, illness, and environmental incidents
- Design, plan, and execute project elements in the laboratory and in customer plants and laboratories to meet customer requirements and expectations
- Perform benchwork necessary to convert opportunities or resolve issues
- Provide timely communication and maintain recordkeeping at every stage of a project, including progress reports, updates, call reports, electronic laboratory notebook entries, and tracking of project milestones reached or missed
- Support and participate in ISO 9000 Business Management System and Health, Safety, and Environmental processes
- Comply with the quality nonconformance process for handling customer complaints and the Quality Management System, including resolving complaints through 8D Root Cause Analysis and other methodologies
- Determine specification requirements for materials used in or resulting from research and development
- Provide on-site customer support as required by the Technical Service Manager, Coatings, or Business Director, Coatings
- Participate in planning processes, including fiscal year tactical plans, budgetary expenses, project objectives, timelines, and technology development guidelines to address market-specific needs
- Establish safe chemical hygiene practices and procedures related to additive systems employed
- Communicate technical information in terms of value-added features and benefits aligned with project objectives
- Prepare exhibits, specimens, and presentations illustrating key characteristics
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

LHH is seeking a highly driven and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee multi‐site operations for a leading metal fabrication organization based in Northwood, Ohio. This role requires extensive travel—over 60%—to multiple facilities within the region. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capability, and a proven track record of optimizing operational performance across diverse manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‐to‐day operational performance across multiple metal‐fabrication sites, ensuring consistent production quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop site leaders and operational teams to meet organizational goals and KPIs.
- Implement standardized processes, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate operational excellence.
- Monitor production output, workflow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency across assigned locations.
- Partner with executive leadership to align regional operational strategy with company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards across facilities.
- Identify operational gaps and execute data‐driven solutions to enhance productivity and reduce cost.
- Build strong cross‐functional relationships with engineering, supply chain, HR, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication required; background must include multi‐process fabrication environments.
- 3–5 years of leadership or multi‐site management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to travel extensively (60% or more) and manage distributed teams.
- Excellent problem‐solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and adapt quickly to operational priorities.
