Maintenance Manager
Full-Time | Manufacturing Environment
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and overseeing the maintenance of production equipment, utilities, facilities, and grounds.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can manage systems and processes while remaining actively engaged on the floor with their team. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk position — we are looking for someone who can lead by example and step in when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians in both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Oversee maintenance operations for production equipment, utilities, facilities, and site infrastructure.
- Drive a proactive maintenance strategy focused on reliability, safety, and cost control.
- Manage and optimize the preventative maintenance (PM) program, work order system, spare parts inventory, and MRO processes.
- Utilize a CMMS system to track work orders, downtime events, and performance metrics.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to reduce recurring downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to align maintenance priorities with production goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance budgeting, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
- Support calibration programs and coordinate with external technical vendors as needed.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance development for maintenance personnel.
- Participate in audit preparation and ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate planned maintenance during off-shift or weekend production schedules as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or industrial systems within a manufacturing environment.
- 3–5 years of experience leading or supervising technical teams.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.
- Experience managing preventative maintenance systems and reliability initiatives.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule repairs to support production demands.
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
Preferred Experience
- Background in food, beverage, or regulated manufacturing environments.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for preventative maintenance, property, plant, and equipment. This role ensues the infrastructure provides a safe workplace environment, delivering efficient services, and high customer service levels. Success in this role is defined by optimizing preventative maintenance, property, plant, equipment, environment, health, safety, and capital expenditure. This will be measured by the ability to optimize growth efficiencies – synergies, scale and scope.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Senior machine operator of all equipment in maintenance shop.
- Repair or replace in-process production equipment, in response to requests.
- Welding and fabrication of machines, guarding, structures and holding mechanisms.
- Develop machine design.
- Recommend incorporation of new technology for company application where feasible and practical.
- Develop, Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Collaborate with outside contractors for servicing/repair of all maintenance shop machines that are on a scheduled PM program.
- Manage all consumables needed for maintenance shop use.
- Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of team.
- Develop written programs/procedures for maintenance shop activities.
- Select, coach and develop staff. Set clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manage performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent experience
- 2 years of maintenance experience in an operational environment
- 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people or organizing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office.

Job Details The Controls Engineer will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, some PLC and Robotics editing and working with customers.

Assist in authoring and executing protocols to demonstrate that manufacturing processes are executed with consistent quality and results within a controlled environment.
Responsible for managing and or performing revalidation, engineering studies to evaluate new products or components, change control assessments, and coordination of computer and test method validations of applicable products.
Job Description Validate new and revalidate as appropriate existing equipment used in OTC/Cosmetic and medical device manufacturing.
Perform engineering studies to determine if projects are feasible.
Assist with measurement system analysis including Gage R&R.
Support product/design transfer activities including validations and creation of updates to documentation needed to manufacture OTC cosmetic and medical devices.
Support Change Assessment activities including assessment and qualification of changes to existing product components and implementation of products into manufacturing lines.
Support root cause investigations for non-conformances related to manufacturing validations.
Develop, prepare and install equipment and revise test validation procedures/protocols to ensure that a product is manufactured in accordance with appropriate regulatory agency validation requirement and current industry practices.
Responsible for IQ/OQ and PQ phases and implementation of validated SOPs.
Coordinate projects directly with vendors and service providers to ensure that all validation and installation requirements are being satisfied during the execution of protocols.
Develop timelines for all projects and ensure that deadlines and goals are being met.
Frequently update management and team on progress.
Proactively work with members of the division or project team to identify issues that might delay the project; make recommendations to improve time lines for project completion.
Compile and analyze validation data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for changes and/or improvements.
Maintain all of the documentation pertaining to qualification and validation of assigned projects and equipment/systems.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Education Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering.
Work Experience At least 2 years of validation experience in a cGMP Device or Drug environment.
Experience with validations of controlled environments or equipment validations in a regulated environment.
Experience with validation documentation and related change control.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, self-starter attitude, good oral and writing skills and the ability to work independently and as a team in an efficient manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or Engineering.
Six Sigma certification.
3 years of validation experience in a cGMP Device or Drug environment.
Process validation experience in a pharmaceutical or Medical Device manufacturing environment.
Experience with validation of various product types such as liquid products, solid dosage products, and multi-component products.
Experience in FDA regulated environment.
Experience with ISO 13485 and ISO 11607 standards.
Experience with Measurement System Analysis.
Experience with Minitab statistical analysis software.
Experience with root cause analysis.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $73,000.00
- $110,000.00 Annual The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
