The Data Center Chassis Lead will be responsible for architecting, adopting and designing chip/chiplet chassis building blocks for data center silicon. Key responsibilities include reviewing chassis building blocks, collaborating with chassis domain lead for architecting the version for data center, working with SoC/Chip/Chiplet design lead for integration requirement, execution plan and implementation, providing improvements based on analysis results, and conducting thorough quality design verification and documentation.

Requirement

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Logistics

  • Organize, retrieve, and prepare (kit) electronic components for shipments to Plexus and the local shop.
  • Support assembly and repair operations by ensuring timely availability of required materials.

2. Component Tracking & Inventory Management

  • Track, manage, and maintain inventory of electronic components.
  • Ensure accurate availability for builds, prototypes, and engineering development tasks.

3. Lab Organization

  • Reorganize and maintain lab spaces to support multiple hardware development programs.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, efficient, and aligned with engineering workflows.

4. Documentation Support

  • Create, update, and maintain documentation required for IDA PCB release.
  • Assist engineers in maintaining accurate and current build records.

5. Electronics Assembly & Testing

  • Perform hands-on electronics assembly tasks.
  • Execute electrical and functional test procedures following established guidelines.

6. Test Fixture Builds

  • Assemble test fixtures by following pre-defined procedures and interconnect diagrams.
  • Ensure fixture accuracy and reliability for testing activities.

7. PCB Rework & Hardware Modification

  • Perform soldering and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Execute basic hardware modifications as required.

8. Lab Equipment & Workflow Familiarity
