The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance across environmental, health, and safety functions, with a strong emphasis on environmental permitting, reporting, and audit readiness.
This role serves as the site subject matter expert on OSHA and environmental regulatory compliance, partnering with operations and leadership to proactively mitigate risk, maintain audit readiness, and strengthen environmental stewardship initiatives. The EHS Specialist will drive continuous improvement while ensuring the facility remains inspection-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Environmental Compliance (Primary Focus)
Own and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, state agencies, OSHA, etc.).
Manage all environmental permits (air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste) ensuring timely renewals, reporting, and adherence to permit conditions.
Serve as site lead during regulatory inspections and third-party environmental audits.
Prepare and submit required environmental reports (Tier II, TRI, stormwater, hazardous waste manifests, emissions reporting, etc.).
Oversee hazardous waste management program, including proper storage, labeling, disposal, manifesting, and training.
Implement and maintain stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), including inspections, sampling, and corrective actions.
Lead internal compliance audits and gap assessments; drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
Maintain accurate and inspection-ready documentation and compliance records.
Support ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives (CDP, EcoVadis, internal corporate reporting).
Identify environmental risk exposure and implement mitigation strategies to reduce regulatory and financial liability.
Safety & Health Compliance
Maintain and administer OSHA-required programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, PPE, Emergency Action Plans, etc.).
Develop, implement, and audit EHS policies, SOPs, and training programs.
Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), facility risk assessments, and safety inspections.
Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Track safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses) and present findings to leadership.
Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and FDA-regulated standards where applicable.
Lead and maintain Emergency Response Team readiness and training.
Workers’ Compensation & Risk Management
Investigate workplace injuries and ensure regulatory-compliant reporting.
Manage workers’ compensation claims and partner with insurance carriers and medical providers.
Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs.
Track claims trends and support site-level risk reduction strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or FDA-regulated environment.
Demonstrated experience managing environmental permits and regulatory reporting.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, stormwater, hazardous waste, and air quality regulations.
Experience leading regulatory inspections and responding to findings.
Proven ability to conduct compliance audits and drive corrective action closure.
Experience with ESG reporting platforms (CDP, EcoVadis) strongly preferred.
Professional certifications (e.g., CHMM, CSP, CIH) are a plus.
Strong analytical, documentation, and project management skills.

Chassis Design/Development Contingent Engineer:
Responsibilities include: simulate, design, and validate chassis components using various simulations tools (dynamometers, rigs and track tests); provide feedback and produce technical reports.
Design Contingent Engineer:
Responsibilities include engine design concept preparation, component and assembly modeling, design evaluation and analysis, drawing preparation and release, part manufacturing coordination and other related administrative duties.
Electrical Contingent Engineer:
Responsibilities include supporting electronic control systems on the race car; validate the control system design and application; optimization of the calibration for the system algorithms and functions utilizing real time software. A Contingent position that will work with Designers, Vehicle Performance, and Electronics Specialists to test, modify, and evolve hardware systems on race cars and track-focused road cars. Work to prove-out durability and performance to technical targets. Report and communicate on lessons-learned during the development process. Devise innovative tools and methods to test cars, subsystems, and parts. Document problem reports for failures in the field. Analyze data logged on cars, to trace down root causes. Track and manage resolution of vehicle hardware issues. Devise countermeasures. Work with designers and manage 3rd parties to implement design changes. Manage and execute testing of countermeasure parts. Manage and execute test and development of new vehicles, and vehicle hardware updates. Regularly liaise with 3rd party vendors, race teams, and test facilities. Specify instrumentation, perform data analysis, and write reports on the outcomes of development initiatives. Devise new and improved ways to test parts and systems, either in track driving tests, or in workshop rig tests. Work with designers, electronics groups, and suppliers to implement new testing equipment and methods.
Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsBS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience with 3-dimension CAD software modelling of race car components. At least 5 years of professional experience. Strong analytical skills are required. Knowledge and hands-on experience with racing cars and related electronics and mechanical systems. Previous experience evaluating and implementing design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Previous experience coordinating activities related to project development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues. Lead and provide design engineering expertise for racecar vehicle design projects supporting HRC’s pinnacle and grassroots motorsports programs. This role is responsible for creating and analyzing design concepts, CAD models, and drawings, interpreting test results, planning and completing assigned engineering projects, and mentoring engineers.

The Electrical Design Contingent Engineer will support company projects by performing electrical design activities, collaborating cross‑functionally, and ensuring all design solutions meet performance, cost, manufacturing, and timeline targets. This role requires hands‑on involvement in design, prototyping, assembly trials, and coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key AccountabilitiesConduct electrical design activities in support of company project requirements. Develop new or improved designs, including 3D modeling and 2D drawings, incorporating modern technologies, industry trends, manufacturability, environmental considerations, cost, and ease of assembly. Recommend optimized design solutions to solve problems or reduce cost while meeting performance and project targets. Perform engineering hand calculations where needed (e.g., beam bending, pressure drop). Understand and apply creepage and clearance methodologies for high‑voltage components. Design wire harnesses; experience with harness layout in assembly design is a plus. Perform tolerance stack‑up calculations to ensure proper assembly under all part variances. Collaborate with other departments to ensure on‑time delivery of practical and optimized electrical design solutions. Participate in assembly trials, manufacturing trials, and vendor visits as needed, including business travel to track/HRC or other locations. Act as a liaison between Project Management and the Design Group Lead, ensuring clear communication of project history, issues, priorities, and targets. Provide critical updates and technical information to the electrical design team and group leads. Ensure BOM and pictorials are accurately maintained and updated according to project milestones. Follow up on problem reports for responsible parts and provide timely updates during weekly review meetings. Ensure designed components meet targets set by technical management, including performance, durability, weight, cost, manufacturing, and assembly. Report design errors clearly and promptly; actively review work in progress to ensure deadlines are met. Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities and perform drawing content checks prior to ECN submission.
Cross‑Functional Engagement: Collaborate proactively with: Project Management; Development & Simulation teams; External suppliers; QA / Assembly Shop, Machine Shop
Provide updates and solutions at mechanical, engineering, and problem‑report meetings. Support other 3D/2D component design activities beyond electrification as needed. Maintain accountability for delivering assigned tasks according to project timelines.
Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. 3–5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, ideally in automotive, motorsports, aerospace, or related high‑performance industries. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 or 3D Experience preferred). Strong understanding of high‑voltage electrical systems, including creepage and clearance requirements. Experience designing wire harnesses and electrical subsystems. Ability to perform engineering hand calculations and justify design decisions. Solid understanding of GD&T principles (preferred). Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) practices and ability to collaborate closely with manufacturing teams. Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent communication skills for coordination with project managers, design leads, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
