Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is actively hiring multiple Legal Assistants to join our Los Angeles office supporting our general liability, warranty and construction defect teams. The ideal candidates will provide high-level administrative support to attorneys focusing on civil litigation matters. This position offers exponential opportunity for someone looking to perform challenging work in a collaborative, team environment within a well-established, but growing organization.

Legal assistants will be expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.

We Seek Candidates With Experience

• Creating, editing, formatting and finalizing a wide variety of documents including correspondence, memoranda, discovery, pleadings, all types of motions and briefs and other legal documents;
• Filing and serving legal documents in all CA Federal Courts and all local courts throughout the state of California;
• Communicating with courts, opposing counsel, clients and vendors;
• Processing vendor invoices and prepare check requests;
• Preparing expense reimbursement forms;
• Maintaining attorney calendars, scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings and deadlines;
• Opening new files and ensuring proper indexing and filing of original legal documents and electronic files;
• Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules and drafting trial-related documents;
• Making travel arrangements and appointments for attorney(s) and coordinating meetings, depositions, etc.;
• Entering billable time entries into the firm's timekeeping system accurately and in a timely manner;

• Perform engineering design and analysis for ride system networks, with focus on automation system architecture

Responsibilities:

Ride Development Engineering Design Assurance is an all-encompassing role that provides technical oversight and guidance in support of Ride project teams. As Ride engineering experts, they lead the way when it comes to process, standardization, and overall design compliance. • Serve as Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Ride Engineering design review process to ensure that appropriate engineering/design standards, methods, analyses, and judgment are applied so the engineered products meet the design intent and the business imperatives of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer

• Lead manufacturing engineering improvement projects across CNC turning and grinding operations
• Own tooling design reviews, validate tooling specifications, and execute tooling updates using SolidWorks
• Review and optimize legacy process parameters, tooling selections, and machining standards
• Collaborate directly with operators, vendors, tooling suppliers, and Design Engineering to implement process improvements
• Support and contribute to grinding process projects (training provided as needed)
• Identify and evaluate automation and process efficiency opportunities, particularly within grinding workflows
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in tooling and day-to-day manufacturing processes

Requirements of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer

• Strong background in CNC machining environments, with turning/lathe experience highly valued
• Experience supporting tooling, process optimization, or manufacturability improvement initiatives
• Grinding experience is not required; however, candidates must be willing to learn and lead grinding-related projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline

D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Contract Administrator in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

• Assist LAWA with planning of procurements and setting pre‐award schedules for contracts including Board actions
• Assist in coordination of Pre‐Bid/Proposal Meetings to present the Project and RFB/RFP to potential bidder/proposers.
• Prepare drafts of RFP/RFB addenda for LAWA to review, finalize, and distribute to Planholders
• Prepare draft award recommendations and Board reports
• Conform final contract documents
• Prepare required reports and correspondence
• Attend various meetings, including pre‐bid proposal and post‐bid proposal debriefings
• Assist in Contract standardization process
• Monitor all aspects of contract compliance
• Assist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and LAWA
• Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance
• Conduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the direction of LAWA personnel
• Coordinate changes across the project environment, ensuring correct procedures are followed and changes are accurately recorded, scheduled and controlled
• Prepare Change Documents
• Route Change Documents for signature and tracks status
• Create and distribute change reports and analysis
• Support the project management team in maintaining timely and effective change support processes, procedures and systems
• Lead the development and maintenance of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports to keep management and/or owner informed of change progress
• Ensure that changes properly encumber contractual capacity and budget
• Coordinate with ADP scheduling to ascertain time impacts of changes under consideration and property documents
• Assist with implementation of trend and change support programs

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction and commercial law
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in administration of commercial/government contracts
• Experience with Construction Management Softwares (PM Web, Primavera) and Adobe Acrobat
• Must have a self‐starter attitude with proactive, results‐oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities
• Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous positions
• Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized

• Knowledge and direct experience in SBE/DBE/MWBE program coordination preferred

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for day-to-day compliance of safety programs and related activities at the Vernon, CA facility.

Responsibilities:

• Environmental Compliance Programs:Ensure operations are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct audits and training programs as needed.
• Establish a working relationship with appropriate regulatory agency personnel.
• Generate reports and permit applications (air, water, waste), ensure compliance with applicable permit requirements.
• Review proposed manufacturing changes and assess environmental impact.
• Work to reduce waste generation and support any remediation activities under the direction of the Corporate HSE Director and Regional HSE Manager.
• Health and Safety Programs:Have oversight of Industrial Hygiene, Fire Prevention LOTO, PPE, etc. Ensure that programs are in place to assist in meeting Company objectives.
• Ensure training programs and in place to ensure compliance.
• Implement accident, near miss, and observation reporting programs to proactively manage safety performance.
• Lead root cause analysis investigation and manage documentation confirm corrective actions have been put in place ensuring complete case management of injuries (reporting, workers compensation, return to work, etc.).
• Build communications required to present incident details and corrective action plans to diffident levels of the business.
• Ensure Job Safety and Environmental Analyses/Job Hazard Analysis are being conducted as required.
• Evaluate operational practices to determine methods to eliminate workplace hazards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or the Sciences
• Min of 3+ years of Health & Safety experience 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with OSHA, LOTO, Root Cause Analysis
• Union experience a plus
• Needs to have occasional flexibility on start time.
