Position Summary

Virginia Transformer Corp, a leading manufacturer of power transformers and electrical infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategy, quotation governance, and margin optimization across the organization.

This role will work closely with sales, engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for transformer products and services. The Pricing Manager will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth by developing data-driven pricing strategies, improving quote accuracy, and enhancing commercial decision-making across utility, renewable energy, industrial, and EPC markets.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement pricing strategies that support revenue growth, margin optimization, and market competitiveness.
• Establish and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and approval structures.
• Evaluate market conditions, competitor pricing, and industry trends to inform pricing decisions.

Quote & Proposal Support

• Partner with sales and inside sales teams to develop pricing for transformer bids, RFQs, and large project proposals.
• Review and approve pricing for major opportunities to ensure alignment with profitability targets.
• Ensure pricing structures reflect technical complexity, manufacturing costs, lead times, and project risks.

Cost & Margin Analysis

• Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain to analyze product cost structures.
• Conduct margin analysis across product lines, customer segments, and markets.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing discipline and overall profitability.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor industry trends within power transformers, utilities, EPC projects, renewable energy, and industrial power markets.
• Benchmark company pricing against competitors and market dynamics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership and executive management.

Process Improvement & Tools

• Improve pricing processes and workflows to increase speed, accuracy, and transparency in quoting.
• Support the development and maintenance of pricing tools, cost models, and CRM systems.
• Help standardize pricing methodologies across product lines and customer segments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales leadership, finance, engineering, and operations to align pricing decisions with company objectives.
• Support negotiations on large or strategic customer opportunities.
• Provide pricing guidance for long-term contracts, framework agreements, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field required.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience

• 7–12 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, sales operations, or strategic pricing.
• Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, utilities, or industrial markets strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with complex engineered products and project-based pricing environments.

The Manager of Field Services will lead and oversee a team responsible for managing and executing field service projects. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating field operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and meet customer specifications. The Manager of Field Services must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage an interdepartmental team to complete field service projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Outline and delegate tasks involved in field service projects, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Conduct cost analysis and estimate expected costs for field service projects.
• Prepare and implement budgets based on cost estimates for field service operations.
• Address and resolve questions, concerns, and complaints from customers and team members during the project lifecycle.
• Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure field services align with company goals and customer needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigating risks, including terminating projects if necessary.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices related to field services.
• Promote and market new field service projects, programs, and systems to potential clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field, such as Business, Engineering, or a technical discipline.
• At least three years of related experience in field services or project management is required.
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.

Field Service Technical Manager

Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Position Summary

Virginia Transformer is seeking a Field Service Technical Manager based in Roanoke, Virginia to lead technical field support and service operations for power transformers and related high-voltage equipment. This role will oversee field service engineers and technicians responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of transformers supporting utility, industrial, renewable energy, and data center customers.

The Field Service Technical Manager serves as the technical authority for field operations, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure reliable transformer performance and successful execution of service activities.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service Leadership

• Lead and manage a team of field service engineers and technicians supporting transformer installations and service activities.
• Oversee scheduling, mobilization, and execution of field service work across North America.
• Provide technical leadership to field personnel during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.

Technical Expertise

• Serve as the technical expert for transformer commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Support complex technical investigations involving electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance issues.
• Review technical reports, test results, and field diagnostics to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Customer Interface

• Act as a primary technical contact for customers during installation, energization, and service events.

Project Support

• Coordinate field service activities with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in field service, commissioning, or technical support for power transformers or high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Experience working with utilities, industrial facilities, EPC contractors, or power infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience leading field service teams or technical support groups.

Technical Skills

Position Overview:

Virginia Transformer Corp is seeking a strategic and experienced Commodity Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for conductive materials, including copper, copper alloys, and other critical electrical-grade raw materials. This role is responsible for vendor selection, contract negotiations, supply chain risk mitigation, and driving cost savings across multiple manufacturing sites.

You will serve as the internal subject matter expert on conductive commodity markets, proactively shaping procurement strategy and partnering with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure a secure, cost-effective, and compliant supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Selection & Management: Lead sourcing and qualification of suppliers for copper and conductive materials. Establish relationships with domestic and international vendors to support quality, capacity, and pricing needs.
• Contract Management: Negotiate and manage commodity contracts, including pricing structures, terms and conditions, volume commitments, and enforcement of supply agreements.
• Commodity Strategy: Develop and execute commodity strategies based on market trends, supply/demand forecasts, risk analysis, and internal demand planning.
• Cost Optimization: Drive productivity and cost-reduction initiatives by leveraging strategic sourcing, alternate materials, or supply chain efficiencies.
• Market Analysis & Forecasting: Monitor global copper and metal market trends (e.g., LME pricing, tariffs, logistics costs) and translate insights into procurement actions.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with Virginia Transformer’s standards on performance, quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks in the supply base including availability, geopolitical disruptions, logistics, and pricing volatility.
• Early Supplier Involvement: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing early in the product design process to align material requirements and optimize cost and manufacturability.
• Specification & Alternative Sourcing: Review material specifications to explore competitive alternatives and manage design-to-cost initiatives.
• Performance Reporting: Track supplier KPIs and procurement performance metrics such as cost savings, contract coverage, delivery, and lead times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 6–8 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management in a manufacturing or engineered products environment.
• Strong understanding of copper markets and conductive material supply chains (e.g., rod, wire, bar stock, busbar).
• Proven experience with vendor contract negotiation and commodity strategy development.
• Familiarity with domestic and international electrical raw material suppliers.
• Proficient in analyzing pricing trends, metal indices (LME/COMEX), and procurement forecasting.
• ERP experience required (SAP preferred); proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

Regional Field Service Manager

Position Summary

The Regional Field Service Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and scaling field service operations across an assigned region, supporting installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and aftermarket service of power and distribution transformers. This role ensures safe execution, technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across all field activities.

This position is ideal for a proven field services leader with strong transformer expertise, customer-facing experience, and the ability to lead technicians in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Leadership

• Lead and manage regional field service technicians and supervisors supporting transformer service activities.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of field work including installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and emergency response.
• Set expectations, manage performance, and develop technical and leadership capability within the field organization.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues, customer concerns, and field execution challenges.

Customer & Commercial Support

• Act as a primary regional contact for customers during field service and aftermarket engagements.
• Support customer meetings, outage planning, and service coordination.
• Partner with sales and aftermarket teams to support service opportunities, scope development, and execution planning.
• Drive customer satisfaction through responsiveness, communication, and execution excellence.

Safety, Compliance & Standards

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce execution risk.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Training, and Technical Support teams to resolve field issues and improve product and service performance.
• Provide field feedback to support design improvements, training updates, and standardization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across Field Services and Aftermarket.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in field services, power equipment service, or industrial service environments.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, managing technicians or field teams.
• Strong knowledge of power and/or distribution transformers, field testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and field execution simultaneously.
• Willingness to relocate to Roanoke, VA.
• Ability to travel regionally as required to support field operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading regional or multi-site field service teams.
• Familiarity with transformer testing standards and safety protocols.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team in Roanoke, VA. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering assistance to all TA facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assets Maintenance
• Perform periodic inspection and auditing of all TA facilities to review condition and propose any additional inspections, necessary repairs and/or upgrades of existing structures
• Keep track of any regulatory changes and building codes for all locations of TA operations project related work
• Provide Structural Engineering support to the Project Management team during design and construction phases of new installations
• Provide input to Project Managers regarding budget and time schedule preparation of major projects
• Supervise site and soil survey works to assist in the proper design and engineering of foundations
• Assist during the permitting and site development phases
• Ensure code compliance of all new buildings and installations and work with Project Managers to issue all necessary building and occupancy permits
• Assist in preparation of all necessary scopes of work for all foundation, concrete, steel, and structural works of major projects. Participate in the evaluation process for the selection of the proper design and construction firms
• Provide supervision during major and critical phases of a project related to Structural Engineering works

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Structural Engineering is required
• 3-5 years’ experience in Structural Engineering positions preferably in heavy industrial installations
• Knowledge of Project Management and CAD packages will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of structural design software packages will be considered a plus
• Professional license in any State will be considered a plus

Contract Specialist

Job Summary

This position is onsite in Roanoke VA and will be responsible for reviewing documents, contracts, communications, purchase orders, proposals, and working to ensure all commercial terms and conditions, business risks and potentially onerous requirements are addressed to the benefit of the company. Help direct Contracts Specialists and ensure the appropriate forms are completed for approval and other documentation. The role will also be responsible for overseeing the performance of audits and completing checklists of contract information, reviewing input to the management ERP system and updating and maintaining files and data spreadsheets related to contract reviews and other projects as needed. The position requires a detail oriented, organized person, familiar with business, contracts, risk mitigation and with strong, MS Word, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts for risk including liabilities, Indemnification, Insurance, Warranty, Cancellation, redlining and editing problematic wording and language.
• Keep updated contract and customer logs
• Maintain records of all contracts and agreements. Ensure through audits the agreements are current the company is following terms, and achieving key milestones, and managing risk.
• Assist in coordinating as needed with Key stakeholders in Sales, Engineering, and operations.
• Review customer purchase orders to confirm compliance with quoted pricing, and terms of sales and ensure that all required order elements are accurately entered into the ERP system and are processed in accordance with the procedures and instructions.

Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 5+ years of Contracts review/ Legal assistant, accounting, insurance or administration similar experience with detailed transactional work.
• 5+ years relevant experience preferably in manufacturing, EPC type contractor, construction, or capital equipment Industry
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and computer skills

• Sprays surfaces of, manufactured products, or producat area with protective or decorative material, such as primer, paint, enamel, using spray gun: Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, soap, and water.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• May manually manipulate parts into the proper carrier/hanger to provide for proper spraying/drying
• Sands/preps the primer surface to include removing defects and to fill cavities and dents with body filler and putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Capable of doing spot repair on parts, using blending clear to cut in edges.
• Wet sand small defects and buff paint back to original shine.

• Experience in automotive paint and body repair.
• Experience in paint surfaces, paint sprayers, and paint booths preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
• Excellent visual acuity to identify flaws in Class A painted surfaces.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certifications from apprentice or training programs preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain all plant quality systems, including inspection and testing methods, work instructions, procedures, product specifications, GMPs, food safety compliance, and industry best practices.
• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall plant quality performance.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality systems and maintain all aspects of product integrity.
• Develop and drive continuous improvement efforts with suppliers to strengthen quality and performance.
• Review and analyze production and quality data to determine finished product disposition and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Serve as the primary external customer contact for quality matters, fostering strong relationships, resolving issues, and providing technical support.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective action investigations for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformances.
• Audit and verify the effective implementation of corrective actions related to customer and internal quality issues.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Product Development, and Corporate Engineering teams on new business opportunities and product trials.
• Manage the timely and accurate resolution of coating and mill supplier defect claims.
• Ensure compliance with SMA principles and procedures within the plant.
• Oversee the HFI system, including balance management, product disposition, rework, and inventory control.
• Confirm that plant quality procedures are consistently and properly executed.
• Communicate quality objectives (KPIs) to production staff and implement processes that support compliance.
• Train and guide departmental leaders and supervisors in process quality improvement methodologies and GMP standards.
• Prepare and present comprehensive quality performance reviews for management.
• Support special plant projects in partnership with the Corporate Quality Assurance team.
• Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with all Ardagh Metal Packaging facilities.
• Partner with Human Resources to address and resolve personnel-related matters.
• Provide direct supervision of plant personnel as required by location.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
• 4 years of quality experience.
• Excellent management/leadership aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
• Experience with can manufacturing improvement methods implementation.
