Position Summary

Virginia Transformer Corp, a leading manufacturer of power transformers and electrical infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategy, quotation governance, and margin optimization across the organization.

This role will work closely with sales, engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for transformer products and services. The Pricing Manager will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth by developing data-driven pricing strategies, improving quote accuracy, and enhancing commercial decision-making across utility, renewable energy, industrial, and EPC markets.


Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that support revenue growth, margin optimization, and market competitiveness.
  • Establish and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and approval structures.
  • Evaluate market conditions, competitor pricing, and industry trends to inform pricing decisions.

Quote & Proposal Support

  • Partner with sales and inside sales teams to develop pricing for transformer bids, RFQs, and large project proposals.
  • Review and approve pricing for major opportunities to ensure alignment with profitability targets.
  • Ensure pricing structures reflect technical complexity, manufacturing costs, lead times, and project risks.

Cost & Margin Analysis

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain to analyze product cost structures.
  • Conduct margin analysis across product lines, customer segments, and markets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing discipline and overall profitability.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends within power transformers, utilities, EPC projects, renewable energy, and industrial power markets.
  • Benchmark company pricing against competitors and market dynamics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership and executive management.

Process Improvement & Tools

  • Improve pricing processes and workflows to increase speed, accuracy, and transparency in quoting.
  • Support the development and maintenance of pricing tools, cost models, and CRM systems.
  • Help standardize pricing methodologies across product lines and customer segments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales leadership, finance, engineering, and operations to align pricing decisions with company objectives.
  • Support negotiations on large or strategic customer opportunities.
  • Provide pricing guidance for long-term contracts, framework agreements, and strategic partnerships.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field required.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 7–12 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, sales operations, or strategic pricing.
  • Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, utilities, or industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with complex engineered products and project-based pricing environments.

Skills & Competencies

The Manager of Field Services will lead and oversee a team responsible for managing and executing field service projects. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating field operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and meet customer specifications. The Manager of Field Services must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Virginia Transformer is seeking a Field Service Technical Manager based in Roanoke, Virginia to lead technical field support and service operations for power transformers and related high-voltage equipment. Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team in Roanoke, VA. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering assistance to all TA facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assets Maintenance
  • Perform periodic inspection and auditing of all TA facilities to review condition and propose any additional inspections, necessary repairs and/or upgrades of existing structures
  • Keep track of any regulatory changes and building codes for all locations of TA operations project related work

  • Provide input to Project Managers regarding budget and time schedule preparation of major projects

  • Provide supervision during major and critical phases of a project related to Structural Engineering works


Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Structural Engineering is required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Structural Engineering positions preferably in heavy industrial installations
  • Knowledge of Project Management and CAD packages will be considered a plus.

Job Summary

This position is onsite in Roanoke VA and will be responsible for reviewing documents, contracts, communications, purchase orders, proposals, and working to ensure all commercial terms and conditions, business risks and potentially onerous requirements are addressed to the benefit of the company. Help direct Contracts Specialists and ensure the appropriate forms are completed for approval and other documentation. The role will also be responsible for overseeing the performance of audits and completing checklists of contract information, reviewing input to the management ERP system and updating and maintaining files and data spreadsheets related to contract reviews and other projects as needed. The position requires a detail oriented, organized person, familiar with business, contracts, risk mitigation and with strong, MS Word, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts for risk including liabilities, Indemnification, Insurance, Warranty, Cancellation, redlining and editing problematic wording and language.
  • Keep updated contract and customer logs
  • Maintain records of all contracts and agreements. Ensure through audits the agreements are current the company is following terms, and achieving key milestones, and managing risk.
  • Assist in coordinating as needed with Key stakeholders in Sales, Engineering, and operations.
  • Review customer purchase orders to confirm compliance with quoted pricing, and terms of sales and ensure that all required order elements are accurately entered into the ERP system and are processed in accordance with the procedures and instructions.

Experience And Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of Contracts review/ Legal assistant, accounting, insurance or administration similar experience with detailed transactional work.
  • 5+ years relevant experience preferably in manufacturing, EPC type contractor, construction, or capital equipment Industry

We are seeking an experienced Painters/Finishers to support the opening of the brand-new STS facility near Salem, Virginia in the Roanoke, VA area.
Responsibilities of the Painter/Finisher:
  • Sprays surfaces of, manufactured products, or producat area with protective or decorative material, such as primer, paint, enamel, using spray gun: Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, soap, and water.
  • Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
  • May manually manipulate parts into the proper carrier/hanger to provide for proper spraying/drying
  • Sands/preps the primer surface to include removing defects and to fill cavities and dents with body filler and putty to attain smooth surface.
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
  • Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
  • Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
  • Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
  • Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
  • Capable of doing spot repair on parts, using blending clear to cut in edges.
  • Wet sand small defects and buff paint back to original shine.

Requirements for the Painter/Finisher include:
  • Experience in automotive paint and body repair.
  • Experience in paint surfaces, paint sprayers, and paint booths preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
  • Excellent visual acuity to identify flaws in Class A painted surfaces.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certifications from apprentice or training programs preferred.
