Position Overview:

A Project Manager provides project leadership for small, medium and large electrical construction projects throughout the region. This position is accountable for all aspects of a project's success from initial estimating, bidding process, review of engineering plans and meeting or exceeding the clients' expectations through profitable completion of the job. Additionally, the P/M collaborates with other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job. This includes:

• Contract interpretation/dispute resolution.
• Assessing and recommending project resource requirements.
• Managing electrical projects.

• Management of project controls and accounting.

Job Summary:

Manages a team of chemists/scientists/technicians and executes pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape prototype development, scale-up, and product launch in various applications. The group leader will focus on platform technology development, new product development for customer-driven projects, as well as continuous improvement and cost reduction of existing products and processes. Emphasis on acrylic polymer synthesis, silicone and rubber adhesive formulations, PSA rheology, knowledge of tape assemblies, backing material selection, and release liner familiarity. Works with customers and AR teams to collect design input and develop new product design strategies. Technical and laboratory lead in developing new adhesive solutions, robust products, and basic production processes that can be successfully commercialized.

Essential Functions:

• Establishes and directs research programs for new product development and product/process improvement of current products. Responsible for complex basic research and/or product development projects.
• Leads lab personnel and facilitates development of product constructions and processes; designs & conducts chemical experiments on both lab- and production-scale; designs and specifies production scale processes and contributes to product validation.
• Conducts and directs required laboratory work to develop new PSA and tape assemblies including polymerization, formulation, coating and testing. Develops new products that lead to sustainable commercial revenue.

Job Specifications:

• BS degree (or higher) in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science or materials science and/or significant industrial experience. Ph.D. degree preferred but not required.
• Greater than 3 years adhesive formulation, mixing process and coating process experience. Demonstrates detailed knowledge of required chemical and physical test methods for PSA characterization. Requires an aptitude to use sensitive test equipment.
• Basic understanding and familiarity with adhesive chemistries and coating technologies. Familiarity and understanding of various adhesive chemistries (acrylic, silicone, rubber).
• Understanding of adhesive tape constructions (backing materials, release liner selection, adhesive chemistries, etc.)

Job Description:

The Construction Manager (CM) is the project representative that have been delegated authority and responsibility of administering the field operations of the construction project. The CM will perform all aspects of field administration, including implementation of a safety plan and a quality control plan. The Construction Manager will be responsible for developing, evaluation of, and execution of construction plans for various projects as assigned. This will include significant outage planning and coordination with operating entities and contractors.

Job Responsibilities:

Function: The two primary functions of the Construction Manager is to perform evaluations of construction plans for safety, feasibility and efficiencies and to perform construction management for specific projects as assigned at the various Client locations.

Accountable for:

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the safety, cost and schedule performance of the construction efforts assigned. Deliverables: The deliverables required will vary based on the requirements unique to each assigned project, but will generally consist of:

• MRP System updated regarding order status, pricing, lead-times, delivery coordination, etc.
• Coordinates with Supplier development and quality to achieve cost of quality goals and reimbursement success
• Commodity Management support to achieve departmental goals including Supplier selection, RFP’s, RFQ’s for team evaluation
• Global risk management identification and research that could impact the supply, delivery, and customer demand

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain/ Business/ Engineering or related field; equivalent level of education, training and experience may be considered

We're seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Heat Treat Process Engineering Supervisor to lead and support all aspects of the heat treatment operations with a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Heat Treat Process Engineering Supervisor serves as a technical expert responsible for ensuring the proper thermal processing of materials to meet metallurgical and production requirements meeting all CQI-9 requirements. This role includes overseeing furnace operations, audits, documentation, process control, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong metallurgical knowledge, heat treat process experience, the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and the ability to manage compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role has direct supervisory responsibility for Lab Technicians, including scheduling, performance management, training, and ensuring compliance with laboratory testing standards and metallurgical validation requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Complete):

• Oversee and manage daily heat treat operations including carburizing, hardening, tempering, and stress relieving
• Ensure compliance with AIAG CQI-9: Heat Treat System Assessment (HTSA) and other applicable standards
• Implement and maintain heat treat process control plans per AIAG guidelines
• Conduct and lead CQI-9 self-assessments, audits, and ensure closure of gaps and non-conformances
• Ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation of furnaces and quench systems
• Monitor thermal cycles and maintain control charts, pyrometry data, and process records per CQI-9
• Support system accuracy tests (SAT), temperature uniformity surveys (TUS), and instrumentation calibration activities
• Ensure all documentation meets internal and customer-specific AIAG compliance requirements
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to address process improvements and problem-solving
• Perform metallurgical inspections including hardness testing and microstructure verification
• Provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance personnel on best practices
• Develop and optimize heat treat process parameters including atmosphere control, quench severity, and thermal cycle design to meet metallurgical and dimensional requirements
• Atmosphere verification (Carbon Potential, Dew Point, etc.)
• Distortion Mitigation Strategy
• Develop, implement, and maintain training programs to ensure team competency on heat treat systems and compliance
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for heat treat-related non-conformities
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles to drive cost reduction, efficiency, and quality improvements
• Maintain proper traceability and process documentation for internal and external audits
• Provide technical direction for furnace troubleshooting, repair validation, and upgrade initiatives in coordination with Maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned or required in support of production and quality goals
• Directly supervise Lab Technicians, including daily work assignments and workload balancing
• Approve timecards, PTO, and manage attendance

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Work involves exposure to high-temperature equipment, hot surfaces, and industrial environments. May encounter fumes, noise, and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gloves, face protection, and hearing protection, is required. Occasional exposure to quenchants, chemicals, and elevated platforms is expected. Safety training and environmental awareness are critical components of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering required.

• 7+ years of hands-on heat treat or metallurgical experience, preferably in automotive or aerospace manufacturing
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of CQI-9 Heat Treat System Assessment requirements
• Familiarity with AIAG standards and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Experience conducting and documenting SAT, TUS, and other pyrometry-related activities
• Experience operating batch and continuous furnaces, quench systems, and thermal processing equipment
• Demonstrates ability to directly supervise lab personnel including assigning work, evaluating performance, managing corrective actions, and developing team capabilities.
