A Global Specialty Manufacturer of Performance Materials located in Greater Philadelphia Region is in search of a Plant Operations Manager to join their local Plant. This Plant Operations Manager will report to VP of Operations and manage, streamline the operations of the manufacturing site, champion changes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement, promote lean environment to optimize plant performance. This opportunity offers excellent compensation, bonus, and benefit, in addition, the company would like to develop this individual to become the VP of Operations for succession planning purposes.


Responsibilities:

  • Report to VP of Operations and oversee a manufacturing site of 70 employee including temporary employees, about $40M.
  • Lead a team of direct reports (Production Control Manager, Materials Manager, Warehouse Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager), establish rapport will plant personnel and provide hands-on support, mentor, coaching as needed.
  • Full responsibilities to Plant P&L, work collaboratively with Senior Leadership from Corporate regarding financial objectives, cost, budgeting, discuss strategy to optimize financial performance and revenue generation.
  • Analyze current plant operational process across logistics, inventory, production, maintenance, quality, study capacity and process, make decisions on improvement, champion changes across all levels of operations.
  • Champion Six Sigma to drive process improvement and operational excellence, foster lean manufacturing environment, foster safety conscious culture, open communication culture and teamwork culture.
  • Provide direct support and relationship development with customers, resolve customer complaints and inquires with internal team, collaborate with quality team to identify RCA and drive CAPA to reduce recurring quality issues as well as improve quality compliance.
  • Work with Sr. Management, Engineering, Maintenance to determine major capital projects such as upgrade, service and replacement, plan capital project on budget and timeline and oversee project progression.
  • Foster solid relationship with all level personnel, plan, oversee and instrument staffing, succession planning, position development, cross training, career advancement, performance review, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, Engineering Discipline, Business, or related field.
  • Recent 10+ years of tenure in site management, manufacturing management or plant operations management within manufacturing industry, exposure to chemical processing, slitting, converting, heat treating, laminating processes is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and people skills, ability to make decisions and champion changes across organization.
  • Strong knowledge in continuous improvement and operational excellence; ability to interact with different levels of personnel, suppliers, and customers.
  • Recent exposure in managing manufacturing site with major expansion, significant product changes or start-up setting.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to advance to multi-site leadership role or VP of Operations

Ainsley Search Group is Hiring a Product Development Engineer with experience in leading life cycle of new product development for a Global Manufacturer of Performance Materials based in Chester County. This Product Development Engineer will report to New Product Development Manager, work with sales team, product manager, manufacturing, R&D, engineering to lead the life cycle of new product development from concept design, prototyping, testing, materials and technologies research, process commercialization, etc., troubleshoot and research root cause customer complaints, provide technical support on product application with customers, research new technologies and materials, drives improvement on production process, product application, etc.. Responsibilities:

  • Report to New Product Development Manager and support the new product development projects of custom performance materials products, support R&D Formulation, testing, commercialization, product roadmap, retirement, etc.
  • Based on customer requirements to use CAD to design, prototype of new product, work with cross functional teams to establish product validity, cost effectiveness, and reproduce-ability.
  • Based on existing product design, apply data analysis on production process, quality issues, application to evaluate product validity, identify improvement opportunity to redesign or modify existing design and further drive cost saving and process improvement.
  • Define New Product Development project timeline, budget, oversee project progress to ensure product development project is within timeline and apply cost control, trouble bottleneck during project life cycle.
  • Work closely with 3rd party suppliers on new capex and manufacturing technologies needed for NPD commercialization; work cross functionally with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, customers, and suppliers to ensure NPD and commercialization process.
  • Work cross functionally with sales and marketing, provide technical resource on product application to sales process, provide technical manual and resource to marketing channels.
  • Travel to customers as need to research, investigate, and resolve customer complaints on product, quality, and applications.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Recent years of tenure as Product Development Engineer, Design Application Engineer within manufacturing industry
  • Solid knowledge of technical process, quality indicators, downstream and upstream applications during product development process.
  • Project management skills, able to define project scales on timeline and cost.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, strong at problem solving skills.

Ainsley Search Group is seeking a seasoned Continuous Improvement Manager with experience in leading Kaizen projects to join a Global Manufacturer based in Wayne County. This CI Leader will report to the VP of Operations and work closely with local cross functional teams to lead and implement CI & Kaizen Project development, planning, and execution for the local and regional manufacturing plants. This is a permanent opportunity with lucrative base salary, bonus and competitive benefit. In addition, company would like to develop this individual to be the Director of Operational Excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Report to the President and work closely with local supply chain, production, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, maintenance, etc. to develop, plan and executive CI projects and initiatives.
  • Conducts DMAIC, design for Six Sigma Projects and address business process problems and design new processes to achieve results, apply a control plan on project completion and integrate the control plan into the current SOP.
  • Provide hands-on training, mentoring and coaching to all level of internal customers on CI initiatives, project scope; educate personnel about change management and encourage engagement and transform culture of significant focus on continuous improvement, waste reduction, quality, safety, etc.
  • Provides, instructs and facilitates Six Sigma Training and JIT training, identifies opportunities for Six Sigma Projects and analyzes data to determine project scope, timeline and roadmap.
  • SPC Charts apply on projects, works with process owners and IT to ensure data availability to process owners for tracking and measuring performance and progress.

  • Coach, counsel and train operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert while empowering operational staff and associates to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.
  • Leverage best practices are gained through Continuous Improvement activities to other activities which would benefit from implementation.
  • Develop, deliver, and support programs to teach personnel about lean principles, tools & concepts: problem solving, coaching, Kaizens, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, Visual Factory, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, QCO and flow manufacturing.
  • Monitor, assess, and develop metrics to measure the cycle of change management; champion the CI initiatives and recommend process improvement to management team based on assessment of changes, CI Projects, project implementation, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Business, or related field.
  • Six Sigma Certified desired.
  • Recent years of recent work experience as a CI Engineer, Industrial Engineer, CI Manager, or similar within manufacturing industry.
  • Solid hands-on experience in managing changes, CI projects, conflict management, culture transformation.
  • Solid knowledge in CI related practices such as kaizen, 5S, TQM, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
  • Solid knowledge in Project Management, able to develop scope of project based on timeline, budget, resource, cost, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, excellent communication and people skill.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
