Electrical Contractor located in Northern Bergen County, NJ seeking a full-time Estimator/Project Manager for commercial projects varying in size throughout the NYC and Tri-State Areas.


ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Interpret job bid instructions, technical specifications, and architectural construction prints that are necessary in creating accurate electrical pricing for projects.
  • Maintain and log incoming/outgoing bids and meet the deadlines for providing pricing to customers.
  • Process and distribute critical/technical information and procured material to the labor force actively building projects.
  • Preparation and maintenance of RFI/CO logs over the course of an active project.
  • Full-time, in person role
  • Work hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year degree minimum.
  • Degree in engineering/construction is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Interest in the Construction and Project Management Field.
  • Familiarity with Accubid, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam software is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, mechanical, and technical aptitude.
  • An interest and passion for problem solving as it relates to real life construction projects.

The Role:

We're looking for an Estimator with specific finish carpentry experience who is ready to work in a fast-paced culture. The Finish Carpentry Estimator will be responsible for all aspects of preparing hard bid construction cost estimates. Responsibilities include plan take-offs, estimating, proposal preparation, negotiations, pre-construction coordination, client relations, and bid tracking. The Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret project documents, understand project logistics, understand project schedule, and develop scopes of work.
  • Perform detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs and obtain material pricing.
  • Work with Five Star Millwork LLC management and field operation teams to estimate labor production rates, identify project efficiencies, and identify alternate approaches.
  • Attend client pre-bid meetings, visit project sites, take notes, and assess site-specific conditions.

  • Prepare bids itemized by specification section and detailed into labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager has full authority and responsibility as the leader of project teams for the management, administration, and safety of assigned projects. RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administer the efforts of project teams in strict accordance with the LeChase Fundamental Requirements, contract documents, company policies, owner/contractor contract and construction schedule.
  2. Manage, develop, maintain, and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
  3. Establish relationships and coordinate the company support functions of all support departments as such affects assigned projects in a harmonious manner at the least cost. Participate in project buy out by assisting Estimating to assure full scopes and economies.
  4. Review and discuss weekly with the project team the job cost reports and schedule status. Provide monthly cost-to-complete statements and job status reports to upper management.


  1. Create and maintain a team relationship with the owner, architect, construction manager, LeChase’s supervision, LeChase’s field forces, subcontractors, suppliers, other prime contractors and other involved in the construction process. Pursue and obtain repeat business through complete customer satisfaction.
  2. Establish, encourage, and maintain communication within the project team, with senior management, with tradesmen and other project participants (owners, architects, construction managers, subcontractors, primes, etc.)Constantly strive for communication improvement. Keep the owner advised of project status. Prepare and distribute company project update reports for owner’s use and reference.
  3. Study and become completely familiar with contract documents, project drawings, specifications, schedule, and other project requirements including mechanical and electrical scopes. Be certain all members of project team are equally familiar.
  4. Solve problems on assigned projects which relate to personnel, manpower, union disputes, claims, incorrect work, schedule, etc. Keep senior management advise and seek advice from peers. Assist the project team in correcting work deficiencies.
  5. Inform the project executive or vice president in charge of any significant changes in the work. Quantifying, monitoring, and pursuing of change order or extra work order items are your direct responsibility. Review and approve all change orders (owners and subcontractors) for execution by the Vice President in charge.
  6. Coordinate, cooperate, and assist subcontractors, suppliers, and other prime trades. Maintain a good working relationship with all subcontract Trades.Remember – we need their help and cooperation to timely complete projects to maintain their best pricing and to remain competitive.
  7. Performs all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Vocational and/or college degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of project management or related experience preferred.
  • Technical, mechanical, electrical, communication and leadership training desirable.



  1. Skills/Competencies:
  • Basic knowledge of safety policies and procedures.

Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:

Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.

Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.

Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.

Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.

Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment

POSITION PURPOSE

As the Principal Packaging Engineer, you will serve as the enterprise-wide technical expert and strategic lead in FDA regulated packaging. The position leverage deep knowledge in packaging including but not limited to design, test methods, standards, and industry insights to create and deliver a pipeline of breakthrough innovations and overall organizational improvement.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, and lead with accountability projects from concept to commercialization. A proactive approach in identifying opportunity areas and a strong drive for results and overall organizational improvement is essential.

This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across functions, influence stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Our client, a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Senior Electrical Engineering Manager. The Electrical PM will have expertise in electrical systems including electrical distributed power generation, feeds, distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, UPS, and low voltage systems. The PE is responsible for overseeing the engineering of these systems for major capital projects and initiatives from conceptualization through programming, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close out.


The Electrical PM will be responsible for multiple high-complexity projects of diverse scope that require an understanding of state of the art construction techniques and a high level of expertise in electrical systems, as well as rigor in compliance, and the highest standard of care. Science projects include research laboratories, vivarium, pilot scale manufacturing, major scientific equipment, amenity space, outdoor plaza, site lighting, and infrastructure projects.


The Electrical PM shall collaborate with the project team to effectively identify innovative solutions and bring clarity to the project process using a sophisticated analytical approach and sound judgement. Core focus areas include defining and meeting project goals for electrical systems, reviewing budgets, schedules, scopes, and quality, as well as risk mitigation and responding to field conditions and construction logistics and challenges.
