Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or engineering field
- 5–7 years of experience in industrial maintenance or automation
- Strong background in PLCs, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Prior leadership experience managing maintenance or technical teams
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Electrical Engineer IV or III with their PE License (depending on experience level) to design and perform QC of designs for a variety of electrical and communications projects primarily for military/commercial/industrial new and retrofit for building and infrastructure construction.
You will leverage your extensive experience and technical expertise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that integrate seamlessly with architectural designs.
You'll have responsibility for design requirements; preparation of design plans, project specifications and cost estimates; inspection of construction projects; quality review of subcontractor designs and close interaction with a multidisciplinary staff of engineers and scientists.
In this role, you'll also delegate, plan and execute, while managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Must have the ability to confidently take project from beginning to end.
You'll also mentor and train junior-level employees.
Responsibilities: Prepare designs for Electrical and Communications projects.
Evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making substantial engineering adaptations and modifications to assigned projects.
Plan, design and oversee projects for substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for real property facilities encompassing highly specialized or unique requirements.
Conducts site visits to document conditions.
Leads the preparation of written reports.
Perform QC of designs for electrical and communications projects.
Serve as a technical consultant concerning facilities planning, design, construction and/or maintenance for different categories of facilities; determines resources and performs long-range planning.
Delegates tasks and plans; executes and manages scopes, schedules and budgets.
Serves as responsible charge of projects (DOR).
Review consultant-prepared design drawings, indicate basic design corrections, prepare technical specifications, and review engineering plans for compliance with numerous regulatory acts.
Prepare specifications for construction cost estimates.
Evaluate contract bids, make recommendations to higher-level engineers regarding feasibility studies and assist in the management of large-scale construction projects.
Prepares project budgets and schedules for proposal efforts.
Use construction inspection report data to prepare payment estimates as a recommendation for payment of contractors.
Mentor junior-level staff.
Education/Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering.
Current Professional Engineering license (North Carolina or Georgia) and ability to be licensed by comity in other states.
Minimum 20 years of Electrical and Communication Design experience.
Extensive working knowledge of applicable design and building codes.
Experience Administering and Managing Construction Contracts.
RCDD preferred (not required).
LEED AP certification preferred (not required).
Computer proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD
