This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Manufacturing Plant in Indianapolis, Indiana. 3rd shift available in our Dry Sweeteners department.

Scope:

The Production Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers, such as packers, machine operators, and blenders. The Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and achieving production goals, fostering relationships, promoting Health and Safety and the development of a well-trained and motivated staff.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Enforces safety and sanitation regulations per food safety and quality guidelines.
• Responsible for initiating appropriate actions that address Food Safety concerns, including escalation to Quality and Management.
• Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
• Directs and coordinates the activities of the employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as packers, machine operators, and blenders.
• Develops and motivates team to solve own day-to-day operational issues and achieve plant goals through ongoing communication and facilitation of team meetings.
• Coordinates daily inventories and supplies and other operational activities within or between departments.
• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Observes work and monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.

• Counsels employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
• Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures of direct reports.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Initiates and drives process improvements.
• Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluates current production estimates and outputs.
• Document all records outlined by company policies, such as production records, HACCP, good manufacturing policies, standard operating procedures, and food safety and quality plans.
• Oversees and completes production documentation, support documentation, and process control documentation throughout the facility.

The Sr. Project Engineer will support manufacturing operations with the introduction of new processing, packaging or facility fixed capital assets. Identify, develop and implement process improvements. They will also serve as a technical resource for designing and implementing technical solutions. Accountable for timely delivery of project engineering deliverables in a multi-functional environment. This could involve the relocation and optimization of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets.

• Strong experience in capital project management utilizing standards and projects delivery through Initiation, planning, and execution.
• Skilled in developing DQ, FAT, CQV, Ramp up analysis, and other project management protocols.
• PE or SrPE, plus PMP certification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office especially Excel and Microsoft Project, and ability to use CAD to develop and edit system designs and machine layouts. Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, construction drawings, and other technical documents.
• Demonstrated successful experience in a beverage, aseptic and/or food manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Planner/Scheduler, you will:

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience in the construction industry is highly desired

The Role We Want You For

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take charge of leading and managing design and construction teams, driving the delivery of multi-disciplined real estate and capital projects in the dynamic Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals sector. With direct accountability for project delivery, you'll collaborate with external engineering firms, interdisciplinary engineering teams, estimators, schedulers, and construction experts. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the collaborative development of projects, ensuring optimal solutions for our clients.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Evaluate construction proposals, pricing, and scopes, identifying factors influencing costs and reporting on pertinent data.
• Review requests for payment and approve final invoices, payment applications, and retention payments.
• Collaborate within a matrix environment to communicate and coordinate resource needs effectively.
• Conduct/support monthly internal project performance reviews, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
• Demonstrate flexibility in responding to issues and client requests, maintaining focus on successful project operations.
• Manage diverse personalities within the work team and client relationships, fostering collaboration.
• Communicate clearly and consistently, documenting information for effective project tracking.
• Engage effectively with clients at all levels, consistently recognize and communicate opportunities for additional revenue.
• Oversee monitoring and reporting on project progress against execution plans, guiding corrective actions when needed.
• Champion best practices for Contract and Scope Change Management, ensuring adherence to project obligations.
• Direct the project team in implementing contract and scope change management processes as required.
• Manage the smooth transition of building operations to the client, overseeing all system turnover closeout documentation and warranties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, chemical, civil/structural, or electrical engineering, or related field preferred
• 10-15 years of experience managing construction projects ($50+ million) ideally design-build.

• 5+ minimum years’ experience performing management within the life sciences market.
• Prior experience on projects >$5M to $75M
• Good negotiation, presentation, and persuasion skills.

JOB SNAPSHOT

The Pre-Construction Manager leads the planning and budgeting phases of assigned projects, guiding design teams through programmatic, schematic, design development, and construction documentation. This role requires strong professional communication and collaboration with municipal agencies, owners, developers, architects, designers, and subcontractors. The Pre-Construction Manager works to develop, update, and validate project budgets and historical cost data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preconstruction Planning & Budgeting

• Manage estimates, budget development, risk analysis, and client communication throughout all preconstruction phases.
• Prepare and refine quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and cost analyses in collaboration with the Chief Estimator.
• Ensure strict adherence to design parameters by obtaining and reviewing plans and related documentation.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and project estimate records.
• Accurately present job costs, schedule updates, and budget adjustments at defined intervals.

Project Documentation & Procurement

• Assist with the preparation of RFQs/RFPs, scope-of-work packages, and bid documents.
• Upload, organize, and maintain bid documentation using internal and external procurement platforms.
• Support subcontractor buyout and award processes across multiple project delivery methods.
• Maintain and update master scope-of-work templates for all subcontract bid categories.

Coordination & Communication

• Lead internal team meetings, design progress discussions, and budget review sessions.
• Collaborate with owners/developers to secure required building permits and ensure compliance with local codes.
• Manage and facilitate value engineering and value-management sessions for all assigned projects.
• Work jointly with the Chief Estimator, architects, clients, and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preconstruction schedules.
• Oversee monthly billings and ensure compliance with cost procedures during preconstruction.
• Uphold and promote the company’s core values, contributing positively to organizational culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in public/private commercial construction, development, or estimating.
• Estimating software: Destini, Planswift, Onscreen or other similar takeoff software.
• Project manager software: Procore or similar construction management software.
• Scheduling: MS Project and outbuild.
• Document Management & Collaboration: Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs), PDF markup/annotation tools, Bluebeam Revu, word, and excel proficiency.
• Bid Management: Building Connected or similar procurement platforms.
• Proven ability to produce conceptual and schematic budgets ranging from $5M–$50M.
• Ability to prepare conceptual site and building phasing plans for presentations.
• Ability to understand project processes and standard progression for construction projects including document control.
• Strong fluency in reading plans, interpreting specifications, and navigating project documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse project teams.
• Effective dispute resolution skills with the ability to reach timely, mutually satisfactory outcomes.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
