Job Description:
- Manufacturing Engineer role, you will serve as a key execution-focused engineering resource supporting a landing gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility.
- The primary emphasis of this position is the execution of large capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects that enhance manufacturing capability, capacity, safety, and productivity.
- You will work closely with operations, quality, facilities, and supply chain teams to deliver equipment installations, process improvements, and infrastructure upgrades that are safe, compliant, and production ready.
- This role also supports repair and overhaul engineering responsibilities that are inherently tied to manufacturing engineering, including development of master manufacturing plans, onboarding of new programs, and direct shop-floor support within a regulated aerospace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute large CAPEX projects within a landing gear MRO environment, including equipment selection, layout development, installation, commissioning, and production handover
- Translate business and operational requirements into executable manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and capacity
- Partner with operations, facilities, EH&S, quality, and supply chain to ensure successful project execution and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Develop, author, and maintain master manufacturing plans (master routers), work instructions, and Bills of Material that define standardized, repeatable repair and overhaul execution
- Support onboarding of new programs into the facility, including creation of master production plans and preparation for introduction into the shop
- Provide hands-on engineering support to the shop floor, including troubleshooting manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and test systems involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or control related issues
- Conduct equipment acceptance, process validation, and capability assessments to ensure processes and assets are production-ready
- Review engineering specifications, repair orders, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and related technical data to ensure compliance with approved repair and overhaul methods
- Interpret engineering drawings and facilitate creation of new drawings or correction of errors identified during repair and overhaul operations
- Review drawings and technical documentation prepared by other engineering staff
- Liaise with Quality Control, Materials, Production, and other departments to resolve shopfloor technical issues efficiently
- Ensure engineering documentation, drawings, routers, and records remain current and that engineering-related production issues and resolutions are properly documented
- Provide and support training for shop-floor personnel related to new equipment, tooling, processes, and program introductions
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, equipment, or process issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, yield, turnaround time, safety, and operational stability
Requirements:
- Develop supplemental documentation required to support shop-floor execution, including procedures, job aids, and supporting technical documentation
- Identify, specify, quote, and procure required tooling and equipment in support of CAPEX projects and new program introductions, including PO issuance, installation, safety reviews, and operator training
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling concepts, and workflows that support landing gear repair and overhaul operations
- Experience executing capital projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, and production handover
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting manufacturing or test equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or control systems
- Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience, particularly within a landing gear or MRO environment
- Experience interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- CAD modeling experience (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or equivalent)

Responsibilities include:
- Develop bidding strategies and contract compliance. Review all project subcontracts and purchase orders for project completion.

- Conduct or assist Director of Preconstruction with buy-out meeting and prepare subcontracts.
- Coordinate and provide direction for the budget estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting cost, and construction functions as they relate to the completion of the project.
- Negotiate, prepare, issue and execute change orders (proposals) to owners, design team, subcontractors and others, and prepare revisions to original budget as a result of changes and revisions to work.
- Prepare and issue monthly owner progress reports, monthly pay applications, schedules, and cost reports in coordination with the Lead Superintendent.
Qualifications
Education:
- Four (4) year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- At least five (5) to eight (8) years' experience as a Project Manager or at least fifteen (15) years of construction-related experience, experience with a General Contractor preferred
- Experience leading teams
- Demonstrated mastery in the skills of project management.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Repair Administrator reports to the Manager, Engine Programs and is responsible for repair order processing, collaborating with vendors, and daily/weekly follow-up of open orders as necessary to ensure promises are met/kept. Day will consist of calls, emails, quotes, data entry, and anything else that arises as it relates to Repair Order processing and consistent follow-up. An important key element is communication with internal departments, i.e., Sale, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality, operating in compliance with company procedures and safety practices.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Producing Repair Orders as directed by Sales/Engine Programs.
- Consistent follow-up of all Open Repair Orders
- Data entry/updating of Repair Orders in our Pentagon 2000 (ERP) inventory software.

- Communicate with vendors on open QC escapes and requests for warranty (as required)

Key Responsibilities
The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Supervise day-to-day field operations
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, deliveries, and equipment usage
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure proper system installation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce fall protection protocols
• Coordinate inspections with Project Management and third-party inspectors
• Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts
• Maintain quality control and ensure installations meet manufacturer requirements
• Submit daily field reports and track progress using company reporting platforms (e.g., Raken)
• Assist with project phasing and logistics planning for occupied buildings
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman on commercial projects
• Experience working at heights and with access systems such as lifts, scaffolds, and swing stages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred
• Knowledge of South Florida building codes and permitting processes preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking a technically skilled and highly organized Equipment Project Manager to lead the implementation, standardization, and performance oversight of car wash equipment across our expanding network. This role plays a critical part in supporting new site development, managing post-acquisition integration, and providing end-to-end oversight of equipment systems to ensure consistency, reliability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, in-depth understanding of car wash equipment systems, and proven experience navigating the technical complexities of both greenfield projects and M&A environments.
Project Oversight – New Developments & Retrofits
- Oversee the full project lifecycle for equipment installation in new builds, site conversions, and expansion projects.
- Collaborate with internal development teams, contractors, and vendors to review site plans, equipment layouts, and infrastructure requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation on equipment specs, layouts, installation standards and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans related to equipment delivery and integration.
- Conduct on-site visits to monitor installation quality, compliance, and performance testing.
M&A Integration – Technical Assessment & Standardization
- Conduct equipment evaluations during due diligence for potential acquisitions, identifying risks, upgrade needs, and integration opportunities.
- Lead the post-acquisition equipment standardization process, including retrofits, control system upgrades, and chemical system alignment.
- Partner with Operations and Facilities teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime during M&A rollouts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the bridge between Development, Operations, Facilities, and M&A teams, ensuring alignment on equipment strategy and execution.
- Manage third-party vendors, OEMs, and service providers to maintain accountability for project deliverables and service SLAs.
- Support the development of training materials and SOPs for site managers and maintenance staff regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Systems, Business, or a related field required.
- 7-10 years of project management experience in equipment-intensive environments (car wash, automotive service, industrial equipment, etc.)
- Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects, including greenfield builds and acquisition integrations.
- Deep technical understanding of car wash systems, including conveyors, arches, chemical delivery, water reclamation, and control systems.
- Proficient in project and task management tools (e.g., MS Project, CMMS, Smartsheet, Procore).
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and site layouts.
- Familiarity with automation controls and telemetry systems is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 85% to oversee project sites and integration efforts.
