Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Estimator based in Punta Gorda, FL. The Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing and submitting cost estimates for construction projects-


Scope of work : Excavation, Import, Grading, Concrete, Paving, Utilities. Complete Site Development. This role involves analyzing plans and specs, performing material takeoffs, sourcing vendor pricing, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. The role also includes developing budgets, managing bids, and monitoring project costs.


Qualifications

  • Experience in cost estimation, project budgeting, and bidding processes
  • Strong knowledge in site development, material takeoff, and construction plans
  • Proficiency in bidding software and tools for project estimating
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and coordinate efficiently with construction teams and vendors
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in civil construction or site development
