The Role

The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing, sourcing, and executing high-quality, cost-effective packaging solutions that meet brand, quality, and sustainability standards. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Operations, and Sourcing, to support new product launches and ongoing production needs.

The Packaging Engineer will oversee component development, supplier management, and production readiness while driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Development & Engineering

• Translate creative design concepts into functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective packaging solutions

• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards, functionality, and cost objectives

• Interpret and approve engineering documents, including die lines, material specifications, and technical drawings

• Provide subject-matter expertise to ensure packaging feasibility and production readiness

• Lead design reviews and recommend improvements to enhance sustainability, quality, and efficiency

• Oversee tooling development, including status tracking, vendor coordination, and cost management

Supplier Management & Sourcing

• Lead supplier evaluations, RFQs, and cost of goods (COGs) analyses to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery

• Build and maintain strong relationships with packaging vendors and contract manufacturers

• Identify cost drivers and apply a total cost of ownership approach to decision-making

• Manage packaging component orders and monitor supplier performance for cost, quality, and delivery

• Conduct on-site visits for supplier assessments, color matching, and first production runs as needed

Production Planning & Quality Assurance

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of packaging components for production and new product launches

• Oversee packaging inventory levels to support production planning and business continuity

• Support first production runs through on-site quality assurance and troubleshooting

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics to ensure readiness for on-time launches

• Drive initiatives to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve overall packaging sustainability

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Develop and implement best-in-class packaging development processes, documentation, and tools

• Partner with Product Development, Regulatory, Planning, Finance, and Logistics to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence

• Support packaging technology transfers and process standardization across product lines

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field

• 5-6+ years of experience in packaging development, preferably within the beauty, skincare, or consumer goods industry

• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and structural engineering principles

• Proven experience conducting RFQs, COGs analyses, and managing supplier relationships

• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Job Summary
The Manager, Business Applications is responsible for the operational ownership, governance, and lifecycle management of AEG's U.S. corporate business applications (excluding Finance, HRIS, and Access Control systems). This role ensures applications are properly vetted, implemented, documented, integrated into enterprise support models, and maintained in alignment with security, privacy, and technology standards. Success is measured by system stability, service performance, compliance adherence, and effective vendor oversight; not by product roadmap or feature development.
Essential Functions
  • Lead and manage the Business Applications support team, ensuring operational responsibilities are executed effectively, and service levels are maintained. Establish clear accountability for application administration, documentation, and support readiness. including third‐party systems across functions such as Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, or similar.
  • Support for the review and documentation process of a backlog of applications that the US is under contract for but have not been vetted by Data Privacy and InfoSec.
  • Lead on the relationship with product vendors to define development priorities and enhancements including specification, testing and implementation. Utilize the AEGGo platform and process, working through reviews from our Data Privacy Team and our InfoSec team. Work with the PMO through the intake process to determine project management resources and process requirements.
  • Ensure the applications are added to our Service Knowledge Management System and Service Catalogue and that standard support procedures are put in place, and that the Service Desk team knows how to handle incoming support requests relating to the application.
  • Create and maintain all application related documentation and ensure it is published to relevant stakeholders for review/approval and that it is current.
  • Coordinate with other teams within Global Technology to understand and carry out any technology standards to ensure applications procured meet and are implemented per standards.
  • Support the Business Owner on decisions and projects relating to the lifecycle of the application – contract renewals, application upgrades, sunsetting applications which are being replaced or which are no longer required, etc.
  • Work with the AEG Go and PMO (Jira) to manage workload across review and implementation of applications.
  • Conduct user surveys to obtain feedback on support program and experience.
  • Conduct post project and monthly service ticket reviews for trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in subsequent projects and support handling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in product development project management, preferably in the cosmetics, wellness or supplements industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Asana or similar project management tools.
  • Experience maintaining digital documentation systems and workflow optimization.
  • Excellent communication, meeting facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Opportunity

Skybound is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Systems Designer to help build a thrilling new game franchise. The Senior Systems Designers create rewarding loops that help players set goals, progress, and stay engaged over multiple play sessions. They craft and tune player advancement and rewards across the entire game.

You will collaborate closely with the Game Director, department leads, and cross-disciplinary teams to define and drive the strategic vision for player progression and meta systems. You'll mentor other designers, establish best practices, and ensure the systems design team delivers high-quality, scalable solutions that support both gameplay and business goals.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the vision and execution of player progression, meta systems, and engagement loops across single and multiplayer experiences.
  • Define and drive KPIs for progression systems that align with player satisfaction and business goals.
  • Mentor and guide systems designers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Own major feature areas from concept through implementation, ensuring quality and consistency across the game.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, art, UX, and production to ensure systems are well-integrated and technically feasible.
  • Establish and evangelize best practices for systems design, documentation, and tool usage.
  • Anticipate and resolve design challenges, proactively improving workflows and pipelines.
  • Playtest and iterate on systems regularly, using data and player feedback to refine and optimize.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the games industry, with a focus on systems design and progression.
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring designers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Shipped at least one AAA title with significant ownership of progression or meta systems.
  • Deep understanding of player psychology, engagement strategies, and content pacing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex systems into clear, actionable designs.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering on tool development and pipeline optimization.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with fluency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Strategic mindset, balancing creative vision with technical and business constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Unreal Engine, including scripting and integration into production pipelines.
  • Strong technical scripting skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Passion for combat-oriented games, player progression, and Skybound's unique properties.

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

Salary Range: $125,000 - $165,000

  • Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to: market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
