The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing operations and production personnel to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role leads and coordinates training and cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility, capability, and coverage. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides direct supervision to production staff, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures consistent execution of production plans, policies, procedures, and standard work.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Communication

• Communicate production performance, risks, and issues to management in a timely manner
• Support training initiatives, standard work development, and skills progression for the team
• Assist department and company leadership with special projects and assignments as needed

Safety & Quality

• Enforce safety standards and safe work practices; lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture
• Ensure production processes comply with quality standards, work instructions, and regulatory requirements
• Support investigations of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
• Conduct floor audits, inspections, and compliance checks as required

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, standard work)
• Ensure improvements are documented, trained, and sustained on the production floor

Production & Operations

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure schedules and targets are met
• Assign labor, balance workloads, and address production constraints
• Serve as the primary escalation point for production, quality, safety, and equipment issues on the floor
• Partner with the Manufacturing Manager and supply chain roles to execute production schedules and adjust priorities as needed
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate to minimize downtime

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field OR equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (Lead, Supervisor, or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop team
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for engineering activity in dental product operation area, functioning as project lead on manufacturing capital improvement project as assigned, and driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles. This position will interface directly with all levels of manufacturing and will be accountable for the principal job functions listed below.

·      Serve as the project lead of a cross-functional team to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities of dental product lines or processes. This can include:

Ø Process mapping, time studies or other lean manufacturing techniques to identify efficient and effective improvements

Ø Ingredient or supplier consolidations to reduce material costs without negatively impacting product quality

I’m working with a well-established global manufacturer to identify a Plant Manager for their facility in Columbia, Missouri. This role has full ownership of plant operations and plays a key role in continuing to strengthen safety, performance, and Lean manufacturing practices.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited for someone who’s comfortable being on the floor, holding teams accountable, and driving results across production, quality, maintenance, and engineering.

Responsibilities include:

• Overall leadership of plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, engineering, materials, and safety
• Driving a strong EHS culture and ensuring OSHA and environmental compliance
