As a Senior Data Engineer at tvScientific, you will be a key player in implementing the robust data infrastructure to power our data-heavy company. The Team:


This role is within the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) Compliance Technical Program Management team which delivers critical & strategic technical compliance outcomes by directing and scaling engineering effort across organizational and functional boundaries. We are seeking a dedicated, centralized Senior Technical Program Manager to establish and own our AI Compliance program, with a primary focus on GenAI risk mitigation. This specialized, high-impact role will bridge technical innovation, business strategy, and global regulatory requirements, ensuring our GenAI initiatives are both cutting-edge and compliant.



What you'll do:



  • Strategy and Program Ownership: Establish, own, and continually iterate on the holistic AI Governance and Risk Management Framework for the company, integrating it across all relevant engineering and product teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance Roadmapping: Partner closely with Legal to translate emerging global AI regulations into concrete engineering requirements, compliance plans, and a unified roadmap.

As a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python, you will collaborate with a small team of remote engineers to enhance our flagship customer-facing product. You should possess a deep understanding of fundamental engineering principles and have practical experience in web development, automated testing, version control, continuous deployment, infrastructure management, and agile planning.


This role is ideal for someone who's ready to go beyond shipping features, who acts as a force multiplier for the team by helping to shape architecture, elevate technical quality, and support the Engineering Manager in mentorship and planning. What you'll do:



  • Own and deliver key product features from design through deployment, working closely with design, product, and other stakeholders.

  • Proven production experience working with a relational database (we use MySQL). Bonus points for experience working with other types of datastores or backing services.
  • A rigorous approach to software quality. You like to write tests.

  • A genuine passion for crafting reliable web applications. You get it right the first time.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent.

You'll fully own the vision, strategy and execution for Pinterest's paid growth channels, driving efficient and scalable user acquisition.
