Description

Position Summary



The program manager is responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous products according to their Product Life Cycle. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Responsible for the daily execution of projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Works closely with the business development team to enhance the business portfolio of the organization. Leads monthly program reviews

  • Support and communicate the mission, values and culture of the Company.
  • Travels to customers and potential customers' facilities providing them with information and support as required to secure business
  • Ensure that the right product is developed to meet or exceed company's quality standard and is delivered at the right time.
  • Lead program teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
  • Coordinate with customers, through marketing and sales, to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
  • Assist in the preparation of written quotes, RFP's, RFI's and RFQ responses and sales proposals & negotiations
  • Handle all customer calls on timely basis
  • Ensure new product information is communicated to appropriate personnel as required


Minimum Requirements and Experience




  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business or financial discipline.
  • Five + years program management experience.
  • Travel is primarily locally during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

  • Aerospace Industry experience is a must

The School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a pool of part-time, non-tenure track lecturers to teach online courses in the Master of Information and Cybersecurity (MICS) program. We seek exceptional instructors with professional and/or academic expertise who can lead small, highly interactive sections of about 15 graduate students in this cutting-edge, online program.



Courses in the MICS program are pre-designed and structured, allowing instructors to focus on delivering dynamic and engaging learning experiences while bringing valuable expertise to advance student outcomes. The Opportunity:

Position description

The Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach regular and Summer Session courses, should an opening arise. In addition to classroom/laboratory teaching and preparation, general duties may include (but are not limited to) managing and mentoring graders and/or graduate student instructors (teaching assistants), holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and maintaining a course website.



We are also seeking applicants for hourly Teacher Special Programs (TSP), should an opening arise. The TSP instructor's principal responsibility will be overseeing capstone projects in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program of the Nuclear Engineering Department. This will include the following tasks: Designing and proposing capstone projects. Helping match students into suitable projects. Meeting with each capstone project team on a regular basis to review results, manage interpersonal aspects, and maintain efficient progress. Provide critical, constructive feedback on students' written reports and oral presentations. Coordinating and participating in the MS Plan II exam of each student at the end of the capstone project period.

At Pinterest, you'll experience hands-on access to an incredible vault of data and contribute large-scale recommendation systems in ways you won't find anywhere else.


As a machine learning intern at Pinterest, you'll work on tackling new challenges in machine learning and artificial intelligence. You'll conduct research that can be applied across Pinterest engineering teams and engage in external collaborations and mentoring, while also performing research in any of the following areas: image recognition, user modeling, recommender systems,search, ads, ranking, natural language processing, neural networks, personalization, graph representation learning, and big data analytics.

What you'll do:



  • Lead your own project start to finish to contribute in cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence that can be applied to Pinterest problems
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize findings from data and build intelligent data-driven models
  • Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code
  • Use machine learning, natural language processing, and graph analysis to solve modeling and ranking problems across discovery, ads and search
  • Scope and independently solve moderately complex problems
  • Demonstrate accountability for the quality and completion of your tasks and projects, collaborating with your team and seeking guidance as needed.


What we're looking for:



  • Working towards a PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences or related field
  • Proficiency in at least one systems language (Java, C++, Python) or one ML framework (Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLFlow)
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop/Spark) and scalable realtime systems that process stream data
  • Experience in research and in solving analytical problems
  • Strong communicator and team player with the ability to find solutions for open-ended problems.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Publications in machine learning, AI, data science, data analytics, statistics, or related technical fields
    • Interest in research and in applying ML to impactful real-world problems on the Pinterest product

The Associate Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. This position will partner with the Maintenance Manager to manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on the planning/scheduling of preventive, and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance.


The Associate Maintenance Manager will partner with the Maintenance Manager to manage maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints and resolving problems. The Associate Maintenance Manager will carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Enforce a safety culture that ensures a safe working environment for all employees that goes beyond complying with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains facility and assets to meet regulatory guidelines (USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA).
  • Develops preventative maintenance procedures that are cost effective and increase the operational life of the equipment.
  • Partners with the Maintenance Manager to evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and plant improvements. Assists with the development of the capital program for equipment replacement in the plant.
  • Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineer and Plant Management Team to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, an overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Develops corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Coordinates line maintenance changeovers to meet production schedule and customer requirements.
  • Ensures the completion of all paperwork including maintenance records, incident reports and investigations and others assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintains all technical documentation on PLC's, instrumentation, and equipment (blueprints, manuals, SOP's, maintenance procedures, PM's, inventory/parts purchasing).
  • Manage, train, and develop maintenance team members?through mentoring/coaching and coordination of individual developmental plans. Partners with HR on employee relations issues.
  • Communicate directly with the operations and quality teams to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
  • Partners with site leadership team to reduce expenses which include labor, shrink, ingredients, packaging, supplies, inventory, maintenance and overhead to acceptable levels.
  • Drives efficiency improvements by engaging maintenance team members, analyzing maintenance schedule of operations, key metrics and processes.
  • Manages production downtime reports, determines opportunities and creates an action plan to increase efficiencies.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong safety background, 6S, LOTO, RCA, Reliability
  • Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLC's electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
  • Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
  • Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles.
  • Predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
  • Results oriented, with a high sense of urgency regarding projects and production.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and present technical information using practical judgment.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and food safety.
  • Experience maintaining budgets,
  • Experience working with vendors.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems including ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a changing, complex environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call
